So You Think You Can Write?

Prove your skills by writing a feature article based on the following premise;

In December 2015, 195 countries adopted a universal climate deal to reduce emissions by at least 40% by 2030; Aside natural causes, human activities seem to be the dominant cause of climate change; a large percentage owing to the burning of fossil fuels. The push to reduce carbon emissions goes beyond formulating policies to seeking effective channels of implementation through capacity development and technology transfer. What solutions are available to developing countries to tackle this hazard?

Prize to be won: N400,000. Article will be published in top national newspapers.

Eligibility: Entrants must be Nigerian citizens, residing in the country.

Submission Deadline: Tuesday, February 23, 2016

Success Criteria
• Use of Oando Marketing initiatives – 30%
• Quality of argument and analysis – 20%
• Originality & creativity of ideas – 20%
• Structure and coherence – 15%
• Grammar, punctuation marks – 15%
Terms and Conditions
• One entry per contestant
• Papers must be original thoughts of writer (plagiarism will be penalized).
• Jointly authored papers are not eligible
• Entries should be uploaded in a PDF document.
• All entries must be (at least 3 page long) in English and submitted in Times New Roman 12 point font and one line spacing. All pages should be numbered and include a header with the name of author and title of the story.
• Late entries will not be accepted
• Oando Marketing has the right to edit the winning submission prior to publication.
