I know in church and preaching, Jesus is usually presented as saviour of man.
That's true.
But when you think deeply about it. Jesus is much more than that.
Yes, He's God. But He's the definition of what the ideal man is.
I may be wrong but see this things.

A true man has control of his appetites

The first man was adam.
Notice that the serpent didnt tempt Adam! - why, Adam would have chucked him off
because had fortitude of mind. But he had a wickness for his wife hence , satan got him through the wife.
The bible says , adam wasnt decieved, he willing ate the fruit to please his wife.
The devil has used pressure of emotions and feelings to floor many men.

David fell , because he couldnt control his sxual appetite.
Man is more than his appetite. Man's appetite is beneath him, man was created to
dictate to his appetite so when a man's appetite subdues him, he has fallen from
his throne as a man. It's a way of demoting and insulting man.
With man,this tactic had worked all too well.
When it came to Jesus, satan used this attack as his first prong,
Jesus had been without food for days, satan came in and tried to demote Jesus to his appetite by enticing
him with food! Jesus restrained himself.

It's easy for man to appear humble when poor.
when he gains power,status and fame can he keep his pride in check?
often no.
Some of your male friends will not relate with you if you are beneath them financially.
Say they have cars and you trekk,they wont want to identify with you.
Rappers and artiste sing about their ego etc.
As pride goes on and on so those delusion follow , its the pathway to seeking self worship.
Just look at the way some business leaders etc act.
They expect their surbodinates to tremble at their presence. How about parents.
But Jesus, kept his ego in check. associated with illiterate disciples, and didnt threaten
the soldiers that mocked and flogged him.
He could have flaunted his powers and wealth but he didnt.

A true man is loyal to the end:
Jesus says he'll stay with you , his child, till the end.
YOu dont know a friend until calamity hits you and you need help.
false friend which are many will flee.

A true man priorities relationships over materials:
Say you borrow some amount from a friend and have problem paying back,
assuming you are really sincere and not trying to scam, it could put a strain on your friendship
and a friend who doesnt value you so much will have no qualms squashing the relationship
for his thing (materially). A wise friend will put the friendship(relationship) up and above
the material thing (money)
Jesus, put his relationship with man above his material wealth in the kingdom. Inviting man to be
co-heirs with him.

A true man inconveniences himself to help others:
Selfishness is a defining attribute of modern society.
The gospel is to grab and keep as much as one has for himself and his own.
But we know they're some instances where help must come in from others or
a goal will die.
Jesus would inconvenience himself to go pray for others.
People were always pulling on him and he was always available. It was very
stressful but he bore it.
How many people today will inconvenience themselves, spend their labour, time,
resources to benefit another with no hope of gain or reward in return?
Very few.
Jesus would.
Jesus was on the way to Jarius house , when the woman with the issue of blood touched him.

True men rarely gripe about what they're going through:
Things could be so bad, you just can't help but whine.
Not Jesus, I mean, imagine him before pilate?
wrongly accused. He kept quiet.
He could have said, "look at me an innocent man. You woman in the crowd shouting
for my life, didnt i raise your dead son the other day.
etc.."
He kept quiet. His life was at stake!
And when he resurrected , he was'nt harboring grudges!!

True men arent vengeful:
It's devilish and satanic to want to exert a pound of flesh for past wrongs.
yes past wrongs will be judged , but God is the judge.
It is a princely thing to overlook a wrong.
Jesus did that.
After Jesus resurrection and ascenscion and his bestowment with power and a name above all names.
Would it have been out of place to seek to exact revenge on the hypocritical religious mafia of his time?
This goes against modern definition of manliness.
in the mafia, other macho societies, the rule is an eye for an eye.

A true man controls his tongue:
Doesnt prattle of like a fool or a woman.
Jesus, had so much tongue control that every recorded word of his matters and counts.
He has never needed to retract any of the statments he uttered while on earth!

A true man is well groomed:
Most men in postions of power and wealth and influence will relate with this.
They spend significantly on their wardrobe to project the right images through
their dressings.
Some preachers think the outward dont matter that only what is in their heart
matters, but some people wont receive their message or pay heed to a messenger
who appears cheap,tacky or sloppy.
Jesus, while not materially rich on earth, must have been a sharp dresser because
his clothes where good enough for the soldiers gaurding him to covet!

A true man doesnt break his word:
Seeing a man who will keep his word is very rare today.
People will promise to do something but not do it and give excuses why
they let those who trusted in their words down.
Some people are so unreliable that their words mean nothing to others.
A man promising and not doing is the very opposite of who God is,
God's word is exalted above his name.
Jesus, kept his word even to the point of death.
Infact, in the world, people quickly know how much integrity a person possesses
by how dependable his words are.

Real men Worked
There's integrity in labour.
God worked.
God abhors idleness.
God taught Adam to work.
Jesus worked.
He was a hard worker.
Real men dont sit back and wait on some donor for welfare etc.
They engage themselves working to earn and accumulate.
While Jesus didnt work secularly, he was always working.
He woke up early and went to pray before starting his day.
Working means knowing to delay gratification and play .
Especially, when one isnt supervised.
Not browsing or surfing aimlessly at work when the boss isnt watching.

The fantasy of splashing days on liesure isnt from God.
The fantasy of less work isnt from God.
Jesus was a carpenter before beginning his ministry.

After the miracle of feeding the multitude, Jesus asked that the scrap be gathered up.
Jesus was'nt always on the go preaching, sometimes he took rests.
Jesus words were never useless. he wasnt a blabber mouth.
Jesus began and completed his mission within budget. He didnt over run the the time budget.
And you know what, man will be judged for how he used his resources too.
The bible says, "Every idle word " will be judged!

By this definitions, it is clear nobody meets the picture of the idle man , except the God-Man: Jesus.
