Aigbofa: Which one is your land? I thought you have a United Nigeria, so which is now " my land " ? See how confused and cognitively dissonant you are? You don't invest in any part of Nigeria outside of your immediate comfort zone, yet , you despise and mock those brave enough, enterprising and patriotic enough to venture beyond their comfort zone to invest and unlock economic opportunities in every nook and corner of Nigeria. Isn't that a really pathetic irony ? 4 Likes 1 Share |

fulanimafia: Hahaha. At least you inadvertently admit the superiority of the Igbo culture and society. If 3 Forbes billionaires are the highlights of your people's achievements, then we are justified in laughing at your feudal mindset. In Igboland, every person is a fortune 500 prospect. That's what drives us to excellence. Unlike the medieval serfs in your neck of the woods, We don't gloat over the disproportionate wealth gaps of the very few. We celebrate the creative potentials, the audacity, the mendacity of ALL able bodied persons in our society. In case you didn't learn it in school, the size of the middle class is what makes a society great, not the tiny Rentier class that leech on the society. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

The struggle is not about Nnamdi Kanu. Nnamdi Kanu just happens to be a radical ( you might call him extremist) within the struggle. 3 Likes |

plaetton: We are talking reality, this pleb is taking prospects, which is hilariously ironic especially when the brightest of your young men are being hanged weekly in the prisons of Malaysia for drug trafficking and the females have converted their wombs to manufacturing units in baby factories. Keep seeking for your phantom superiority while you are dominated left, right and center. Your crazed desire to assert superiority smacks of inferiority complex. You'd better focus on your fight for freedom . P.S.The Fortune 500 is an index of companies, not a list of individuals. Grab a book whenever you can son. I wonder how a thread calling for Ibo Presidency has been derailed by empty chestbeaters seeking Biafra. They must have been thoroughly embarrassed about their collective confusion regarding whether they want to rule one Nigeria or they want to leave. Pwayne2016: 8 Likes |

Re: Only Igbos Can Save Nigeria by plaetton: 2:08pm On Mar 19, 2016 |
fulanimafia: First, the fortune 500 is not an index. It is a list of the 500 most valuable companies in the world. Perhaps you forget that companies are founded and run by driven and motivated visionaries . So, when I say that everyone in our society is a fortune 500 prospect, the meaning escapes you. Again, let me correct you. Igbos do not have pathological propensity to exert any kind of superiority. We are simply driven by the innate dynamics of our culture. Now, in the midst of very docile and less drive neighbors, this drive seems always misconstrued as a tendency to dominate others. It is not. We are competitive, even amongst ourselves. We don't see ourselves as competing with this tribe or that tribe. We persevere , we struggle to survive and by simple laws of sowing and reaping, we excel. And yes, the struggle to show success can and does exacerbate all types of societal vices, yet there is no evidence whatsoever that Igbos are disproportionally over- represented in Nigeria's criminal underworld. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

plaetton: Again you're wrong. The Fortune 500 is a compilation of the 500 largest companies in the United States as compiled by FORTUNE magazine. I'm sure you now realize the utter idiocy of your earlier statement. Now quit derailing and focus on the thrust of the thread which is a call for Ibo Presidency. I've had enough of the petty d1ck measurement and will ignore further derailment. 6 Likes |

Aigbofa: C'mon Sir. Let's be really sincere here. Federal infrastructural investment in the East is near Zero. The powers that be don't even pretend about it. Even The Emir of Kano, Sanusi recently wrote an article where he warned that Igbos have been taken for granted for far too long and disproportionately punished for far too long after the civil war. He said that this deliberate neglect and discrimination must be addressed as soon as possible for a strong United Nigeria. Take for example the 2nd Niger bridge. It has been on the blueprint since I was in secondary school. Jonathan started, and predictably, a northern president has ordered it's stoppage, despite the billions already spent. Mark my words, no Northern or Western ( maybe) president will complete that bridge. We know it, we expect it. And you expect us to be happy and smiling ? 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Aigbofa, fulanimafia et al find the video clip of the Igbo guy who recently in London looked a representative of the despotic regime (Okorocha) eyeball to eyeball and called him, "a murderer of his brothers"! Even with the presence of the British police and the handcuffs on him he remained resolute and never bulged... He was proud of his handcuffs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPb6z1W0z-s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN7HTO2QXDc 2 Likes |

If the answer is yes then you can expect reasonable people to speak up in support of the south east. You can't come to Nairaland to proclaim Nnewi and Aba are more prosperous than London England and not expect the same reasonable people to question it. 2 Likes 1 Share |
