A great tension in Nnamdi Azikiwe University COllege of Health Science Nnewi campus as the Sub-dean student affairs and also the Uneco chairman whiclh is the college electoral body disqualified 7 students whom have duelly passed through the screening and electionary processes before the election and where even inaugurated and sworn into their various offices.

The Uneco chairman at the meeting held at the Anatomy department of the college disqualified some students including the SUG president of the Union and the Speaker of student representative council stating that they did not meet up with the requirement for them to have contested the election. This act has remain a shock as the whole student heard the disqualification of some of the escos.

The Uneco chairman stated that Uneco did not properly go through the files submitted to the student affairs department before conducting the election, and added that it was a grace given by the Uneco to conduct the election without getting the CGPA of all the aspirants.
In The meeting, upon the pronouncement of their disqualification, the affected student refused to accept the disqualification letter; insisting that it was a laxity on the part of the Uneco not to have screened and scrutinized. According to the constitution, before pasting their names on the notice board, all over the campus, stating that they where screened and qualified.

The students also said that it was not the duty of the Uneco to disqualify any candidate after inauguration. They added that the electionary was free and fair, the result was accepted by not parties, and there was no petition from any lost candidate concerning any malpractice of the election. They stated that, the Uneco contradicted their constitutional function by taking laws into their hand to disqualify a candidate that has been swore in into the office without following the normal process in the constitution.

The subdean student affair and also the chairman of the Uneco also threaten that any reaction to this disqualification by any student will not be tolerated, for such student will face hell because he has made arrangement to deploy SSS to arrest any student who will react to the decision.

We still don't know why Unizik is always having problems with their student Government for the past years; before it was on the main campus in Awka but now, in the University Medical college in Nnewi Campus
