The management of the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, has announced the suspension of 11 students who are members of the executive committee of the History and International Studies Students Association on the campus. The management’s decision was announced today, Tuesday, Feb 23, through the university’s news bulletin released via the Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations. Their suspension was in connection with the recent death of Miss Omolara Gbadeyana, a 200-level student of the Department of Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, Faculty of Management Science. Gbadeyan was said to have attended an illegal party and award night organised by the students’ association and held at an event centre in Igando, where she was said to have drunk an alcohol concoction leading to her death. According to the report, the suspended students include Babatunde Arubo (Chairman); Paul Shenjobi (President); Esther Kudayah (Vice President); Mathew Balogun (General Secretary); Bidemi Eletu (Treasurer), among others.The affected students are no longer allowed to participate in any student-related activities and should appear before a disciplinary committee according to the university. http://www.glamtush.com/author/editor/ |

The said lady that died of alcohol concoction is the room mate to my friend's younger sister According to my friend's sister, she said she was invited to the party but decline and was the only one left in the room after which they have all gone to the party. She opined that a drug was added to her room mate's drink (she said, though, her room mate may not even be the target). This was done for reasons known to them but she presumed it was not a harmful drug but just to make her tipsy all in a bid to rape her or something, but the drug malfunctioned leading to her death |
