hello everybody
i'm new in this forum, but i want to know if there's anybody who live in Houston TX here? reason why im asking because im planing on moving there in 5months from NY, i never been to Houston and don't know anything about it!! just been to dallas 2 3time though,, my question is what are some nice areas to live in? i want to be in or near the city or a nice suburb but not far from the city, im looking for nice affordable apartment. not also far from UH.


my other question is, im still looking for a job, has a caregiver or a phlebotomy job? maybe a group home job own by Africans or others,

Brilliant choice. Houston is big and beautiful. You'll love it. You'll also love one thing - Houston is Cheaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap. Housing and apartments are cheap as well. It will seem like a surprise to you since you're coming from the east coast where housing is unnecessarily expensive.

Most people live in Southwest houston because you get the cheapest apartments/homes there. It comes with a price though, you need a car. You don't wanna be waiting on the foolish bus 68. That thing they tey.
There are good number of apartments close to UofH too that are cheap. Make sure you don't get apartments @Elgin/Martin Luther king blvd though. That na 3rd ward and is like the ajegunle of houston. They will rob you till you are naked down there.

There are also good apartments off 610 and 59. Can't remember the exact locations.
Your best bet is Southwest. That's where most people are at. Apartments are as low as $380 all the way up to $900.
The cheaper they are, the riskier they are though.

Are you attending UofH? Great school. As a former Cougar, i can give you all the gist you need. Be more specific with regards to what you want to know about Houston and i'll respond.
Houston is beautiful. Way better than the east coast and their small roads. You get 10-16 lanes on houston freeways easy. The road network is one of the best i've ever seen

okay, the name of the apartment is nubia square, it filled with a lots of student like me because am also going to UH by spring thou, so i fill its gonna be okay, u have to come to the leasing office to fill the application if u need the address can give u that, coz am sure u aint in houston yet?

no im not in houston, im in michigan, but im planing on going there for 3days to look at the apartments, n yeah me 2 i will be going in spring also

Yeah its safe , because we have police department beside the leasing office, so it is, for realz u gonna be in uh, main campus i guess, would like to know u more since we gonna be in the same school, u on facebook
