LASU shuttle caught fire while in motion at Ikeja this evening in the hour of 5. Passengers scampered for safety as the bus came to a stop, but no one got injured in the process. At that moment, there was a TOTAL truck carrying petrol just in front of the bus while I was on a BRT just behind the bus but we thank God nothing happened. It took the intervention of officers and men of the Fire Brigade Service to put off the fire. This resulted in a traffic gridlock, which lasted for several minutes. |
