President Muhammadu Buhari’s various trips abroad will yield results soon, John Odigie-Oyegun, All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman, has said. He described the President as an international salesman doing a great job of marketing Nigeria. Mr. Odigie-Oyegun spoke on Friday in Abuja while responding to questions posed by journalists on the incessant trips embarked by the President since his assumption of duty. The chairman said that the trips were necessary at this point in time to garner support and open up the country to more investors. He said although there was no specific date for the results of the trips to manifest, they would manifest in a matter of months not years. He said that part of the reasons the President was visiting the Middle East was to canvass for improved prices for the nation’s crude oil. Mr. Odigie-Oyegun described Mr. Buhari as an international salesman marketing Nigeria. He said that the president was doing a `fantastic job’ building and re-building the crack in the foundation of Nigeria. I think that's what we need, if our elites can't invest in their country. Let the foreigners come to our rescue. 2 Likes |

Just like jerry rawlings did with ghana He travelled soo much to get investors to ghana, thats why they are like this today Its unfortunate that he had to kill soo many courupt government officials also to achieve this. 1 Like |

For crying out loud, you don't need to beg foreign investors to come and invest in Nigeria. All you need do is make the environment conducive and viable, they will discover your country. Buhari with his level of intelligence is not the good marketer Nigeria needs. He is rather De-marketing Nigeria with his unprofessional utterances. Put Nigeria in order first and see that those foreigners need Nigeria more than Nigeria needs them. 1 Like |

Thank you for saying this, because some dull people thinks he is going to these countries to have fun, they are always complaining about this. Most of the problems of this country will get solved just by having good foreign economic ties and investment. |

By painting Nigerians at any given opportunity as criminals to the international community? By foolishly realigning Nigeria's economic and diplomatic policies along his religious persuasions? By constantly showcasing his gross Ignorance to the international community? By portraying his govt as completely clueless and directionless? 1 Like |

Why I don't bother myself about the ajala travel title placed on my presido is that, same complaints were made against OBJ and everybody in the political cycle can attest to the fact that a lot was achieved in the end. So PMB's travels are just reminiscent of the obj era. It's only better because pmb won't steal the yield for personal gains like obj did. |

dulux07: What did he gain from going to the white house alongside that ashewoe ilara? What did he bring from West Germany after he went visiting President Merkel? What has his visit to England done to Nigeria? I thought he went there to see his doctor? Or is his latest pilgrimage to that pagan shrine in mecca at public expense something to celebrate back home? I saw some of you bokos celebrating his admittance into the kabbah inner chambers as something akin to Nigeria putting a man on the moon. Yeye 1 Like |
