✞Once Saved - Do We Ask God’s
Forgiveness Over and Over?
.
Sin is sin and we should never take it lightly,(Eph. 5:6). God does not take it lightly as it requires the
blood sacrifice of his Son, his death on the cross and resurrection to pay the penalty for our sins.
.
One sin condemns us to death just
like Adam and Eve. Christ saves us
from judgment for our sins with
the work he accomplished at the
cross and resurrection. He provided total forgiveness, and the gift of eternal life, paid by Jesus.
.
As a child of God we do not need to ask God to forgive us over and over again because *he already has forgiven us*. The work is
completed! Of the last sayings of
Christ on the cross, none is more
poignant than His very last
utterance, “It is finished!”
.
Jesus came from heaven and
became a man to die on the cross
to pay our sin debt in full and then just before he gave us his spirit he said, “It is finished."
.
The Greek word translated “it is
finished” is tetelestai, an
accounting term that means “paid
in full.” When Jesus uttered those
words, He was declaring the sin
debt owed to His Father was wiped away 'completely' and 'forever'.
.
Not that Jesus wiped away any
debt that He owed to the Father;
rather, Jesus eliminated the all debt owed by mankind—the debt of our sins.
.
“In whom we *have-[resent tense] redemption through his blood, even the *forgiveness of sins* ” –
Colossians 1:14
.
Our conversation to God should be
*belief and gratitude* that he has
forgiven us through Christ’s blood!
If you are married would you ask
your spouse several times a day to marry you? Why not?
.
If you offend a spouse it is
appropriate to tell him or her you
are very sorry, you did something
you shouldn't have but you
wouldn't ask "will you marry me?" Because you are already married for life.
.
What about if you have not
received salvation, eternal life with Jesus forever?
.
The sole condition for receiving
salvation is 'faith alone' that Jesus
Christ died a substitutionary death
on the cross for our sins and rose
bodily from the tomb to offer you
eternal life. (1 Cor. 15: 1-4; 1 Thess. 4:14; Rom 4:25)

What a relief! I can now "chop" my fiancee, and say "sorry" to God.
.
Besides, the Scriptures says "In the last days, there will be gnashing of teeth". This is another relief, because I have no teeth.

Op, this is a VERY WRONG message. we need to ask for forgiveness every time we sin, or every time the holy spirit convicts us to.

1John 1:
8 If we say that we have no sin , we deceive ourselves , and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins , He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned , we make Him a liar , and His word is not in us.

Pls, be informed. Don't mislead yourself and others too. This is a perverted message. Its not the gospel of Christ.

Consider Romans 1: 6: Dead to Sin , Alive to God 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid!.

If you willfully fornicate, hoping to ask for forgiveness later, then you're on a long thing.
