Exposed!!!peak Milk Staffs Groan Under Harsh Working Conditions by Triton1996(m): 12:07pm On Feb 29, 2016
Wamco Nigeria PLC, Producer of the popular peak milk is allegedly swimming in a subtle crisis over inhuman condition they placed their staff and breach of contracts.
Sadly, most of the staffs are complaining of the harsh working condition they are working under. .
Information available to Sahara Weekly has it that the company has been unfair to Staffers of the organization as most of them don’t get what they deserve and the management sacks people whenever they feel like.
The latest development, which was revealed by an insider who complained bitterly has it that the management just employed a set of security agents this week and the condition which they were placed in is so disheartening.
It was gathered that the normal working hours is 8 hours per day but they were asked to work for 12hours. They also deprived them of their rights because normally, every staff is entitled to a free meal, free medical facilities, but all these were removed from their contract.
” It’s so absurd for a company which is that big to be doing this kind of thing”

Nairaland keeps with the trend of news and particularly differs from most websites because Nigerians enjoy free speech and robust opinion venting here. I want to quickly correct the erroneous news published on Nairaland today re: The above headline. The rumour was culled from another blog called saharaweeklyng.com - which quoted nobody and never tried to confirm the truth or falsehood of its report.

I work with FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc, makers of Peak milk, Three Crowns milk and Friso. Peak milk, the household high nutrition brand has been in Nigeria for over 60 years and doing great to build up the health of Nigerians.

The Staff and Management of FrieslandCampina WAMCO work under very fair, convenient, humane and conducive conditions. They don't have cause to complain like the erroneous rumour makes out.

Recently, the Management of the company replaced its security contract with a better one that meets its expectations. The new security firm in charge of FC WAMCO is PROTON SECURITY SERVICES. FC WAMCO does not compromise its health, safety and security standards and its Management is always sticking to the best global standards.

I suspect it is a staff of the last security firm which lost its contract to Halogen Securities that sold lies and false news to saharaweeklyng.com

Proof that the Staff of FrieslandCampina WAMCO are happy with their employers is made evident in the highly successful annual FC WAMCO Football Tournament they all participate in with their MD, Rahul Colaco and other directors of the company who also play football with them in teams.

FC WAMCO also has a thriving Culture Club headed by a Staff, which seamlessly bridges the gap between employees and employers, thus making the work environment exciting and a place of career growth for all.

Last year, FrieslandCampina WAMCO won 13 industry awards as Nigeria's dairy giant. It remains the only dairy company in the country that has signed an MOU with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and is working daily with local cattle farmers to get fresh milk and improve the farmers' incomes. It is constantly investing billions of Naira into the economy annually.

This year, it has also been declared the best company in CSR - corporate social responsibility - across West Africa, by Cfi.co, a London-based global financial reporting web service.

I urge the over 1.5 million members of the Nairaland Forum to see this: If all multi-national companies in Nigeria carry out excellent corporate governance like FrieslandCampina WAMCO does, our dear country would be a much better place for all of us.

Below are some FC WAMCO testimonials... (pictures don't lie; one shows the MD, Rahul Colaco posing with one of the company's football teams. Another shows a cheerful Supporters Club because at FC WAMCO, every staff is a winner). And the third shows march past of FC WAMCO staff-footballers.

Correction: Halogen Securities were the former security providers, while PROTON SECURITY SERVICES are the new providers, recently signed on by FrieslandCampina WAMCO
