The government should invest more on dams.
-It is more reliable and more stable.
-It is less prone to vandalism.
Gas supply has always been an issue in Nigeria year in year out due to vandalism, it is about time we think outside the box and do things differently.

DO you know the politics and diplomacy that goes into building Dams?

You cant just up and dam any river you feel like.

this same scenario is what Jonathan faced when he was the president and opposition capitalise on it for political prowess. now that they are facing the same dilemma; let's see who they will blame this time around.

Power supply from Dams tanks heavily during the dry season! Solar Energy is the way to go!! We have "plenty of Sun" in Nigeria wasting away for nothing

It is only a problem for landlocked countries which Nigeria isn't a part of, we are blessed with enough supply of water from the sea and ocean.
The dam must not be built in the north as the case of Kainji, the coastal regions in the south is the ideal place for these projects.

What is working in this country outside the fight against corruption?

No forex to import raw materials
Companies are retrenching due to the current volatility in the market
No power supply
No economic policy direction

so still no coal plants

coal that accounts for over 40% of US power.

when will we ever get it right

do we even have a single coal plant in this country

again, getting tired of Nigeria abeg undecided

just imagine that in the year 2019, politicians will still be campaigning based on giving citizens electricity. can u imagine that shhh

so in 2019, it won't be "we will take you to space"

it won't be "we will unveil our new defence air fighter"

it won't be "we will support the shift to electric cars"

noooooooo

nothing innovative at all, for thy art in naija, the biggest known zoo in the world, sooo....

...in 2019, what will they tell you

"I WILL GIVE YOU WATER, I WILL GIVE YOU LIGHT"

can u believe this shhhh

fvck this country men angry

the president should employ core niger deltans to protect the pipelines with strict measures...the government cant protect the lines we have with out consent from key stakeholders...this administration is just been foolish...its either they espouse true federalism so that those with gas can generate their electricity and stop vandalism issues internally or indigenes are fully involved in pipeline protection...the mumuness of this administration is just alarming..

everything is dropping under this buhari led govt. this was what was constantly happening under the past administration but APC continued raising unnecessary alarm, now its happening under their watch.

Must people always compare present and past governments whenever issues arise? It's becoming childish to be frank. Even the purest led government encounters challenges. Jonathan wasn't improving and we opted for a change in government. If this one doesn't improve, we will do the same. Stop making it seem as if Jonathan would have done better. If the vandals were killed like fowls, you'd all come here and accuse Buhari of being a military man.

They are looking for money for Mambila dam. I think three clean coal power plabts can be streamed in three years in Enugu or Ajaokuta. Funny enough , a project like Ajaokuta would have been producing gases and heat energy to fire 1000MW
