Agatu Massacre Continues Unabated Despite Buhari’s Directive by zik4ever: 8:41am On Mar 01, 2016
The massacre of innocent villagers in Agatu Local Government, Benue State, continued unabated, on Monday, in spite of the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari that a panel of Investigation into the Fulani attacks on the villagers be established and the announced establishment of an inter-agency security team to forestall further attacks. A survivor, Mr. Ada Ojechi, told Vanguard that Monday’s massacre which took place at Odugbeho-Agatu, was one of the worst ever witnessed in the series of attacks by the herdsmen. He said that the casualty rate was very high but could not put a figure to it because no survivor could take the risk of counting the dead. According to him, the news of Federal and Benue State governments’ intervention made the villagers to relax and that many of those who had earlier fled Odugbeho returned to the village on Sunday. He said, “As we speak, Odigbeho-Agatu has been razed. The massacre there today (Monday) had no equal because Odigbeho is one of the most important and well-populated villages in Agatu. Our people were caught napping because we relaxed when we heard what we considered the cheering news that the federal government has intervened. “Unfortunately, the Fulanis knew we had relaxed and took advantage of us to unleash a terrible massacre on us. As we speak, corpses litter everywhere in the village. I have been trying to reach many of my family members without success. We feel terribly let down by the government that announced a joint security team. We have not seen the security men- be they policemen or military, as I speak.”

When I become President, honestly I will ban nomadic cattle rearing because it is causing more harm than good!

These people should stop acting like gullible weaklings which they are not. Why should they loose your guard simply because of one announcement in Abuja?
The Agatus are fearless voodoo warriors second to none except the neighbouring epe in the whole of north Central but Christianity has taken a lot from them.
I implore them to revisit their ancestral deity to deal mercilessly with the fulani vagabonds. For equity hates the indolent and reward the vigilant!

Since the govt is reluctant in curtailing this menace, the affected region should as a matter of urgency arm themselves.

After all self defence is not a crime.

This is a case of systematic annihilation of a region.

what a tragedy! what is Nigerian Military doing? The constitution give the government power to kill in a condition like the.
The herdsmen that carried out this series of attacks should all be executed to serve a lesson to others.

welcome to d zoo. a place where some pipul ar killed like chickens because they ar not fulani born to rule. fulani terrorist working hard to push for d implementation of GRAZING RESERVE ALL OVA NIGERIA, cos according to dem, nigeria is their property.
Buari dullard up to date has never condem actions of fulani terrorist because he endorse d massacres. he gives dem cover to continue killings of INFIDELS in oda to bring sharia accross nigeria through their most revered scam; Grazing Reserve.
do u know dat majority of d cows seen with fulani herdsmen belong to rich northern politicians do u know dat cattle rearing is a business dis pipul ar doing business of cow rearing, but will want to hide under custom dat cow rearing is just a traditional way of life of fulani. BIG LIE. It is a lucrative business. now since dis cows belong to rich northern politicians, why won't they raise dem cows in ranches why won't they buy land n raise their cattles in one place like d business dat it is, instead of moving about like bush pipul is ranching not d best method of raising cattles in modern times ranching is a universal practice of raising cows all ova d world, but dis rich northern elites no wan invest in ranches. they want grazzing land free of charge to tend their cattle. they want govt to give dem land FREE LAND to do their BUSINESS (cattle rearing). in oda words, they want to collect UR LAND TO CONTINUE N EXPAND THEIR BUSINESS OF CATTLE REARING IN UR VILLAGE!!! so if dis pipul wan govt to give dem free land all ova nigeria do continue their business, who will give free land to oda business owners to expand their business. will govt give land free to mechanics to expand their workshop wat about farmers who will give farmers free land to grow their crops who will give free land to goat rearers to tend their goats who will give free land to poultry farmers to expand their poultry farm una don dey see d scam about grazing reserve bah grazing reserve is a tool for terror by fulani herdsmen. grazing land is oudated n can never function in modern era in dis 21st century. cow rearing na business. Let fulani pipul start RANCHING THEIR COWS at their own expense.
if una no wan bcom settlers n refugess in una own villages n communities, say NEVER to GRAZING RESERVE!!!

I am beginning to believe that Buhari maybe truly a dullard. What is needed in Agatu Local Government is not setting up any panel of investigation.

What exactly are you trying to establish? That you've not been reading newspapers? And that you cannot indulge your common sense to ask about where these Fulani Herdsmen are getting their Kalashnikov Ak47?

The solution to the Fulani Herdsmen massacre is very simple. Issue a directive to the Army & Police to shoot-at-sight “All Fulani Marauders” including their “Fura da Nono” hawking wives and see if after 2 weeks, the massacre will not stop.

The lives of the victims who have been murdered & raped are much more valuable than the cows of these savages. We will start eating fishes, chickens & turkeys if cows are no longer available.

Good! Shebi they voted for PMB? Let them deal with the consequences.

Fulani, do whatever you want. NC no serious.

Instead of you guys to do the eye-for-an-eye treatment, you are here bleating.

I remember how you guys did the "I don care" attitude when SE and SS were at the receiving end of the Fulani rampage.

It is now our turn to turn a blind eye to the Fulani massacre and killings in the SW and NC.

People don't seem to understand the situation. Even if you turn every village to independent country the herdsmen will still be there with there menace. Every country in West Africa has the Fulani herdsmen issue.

And for that we should live with it? No way,in Biafra we will show them were they belong,
freedom of trade is not freedom to kill.

Most of these things are easier said than done. The only solution remains technical one as using force or war cannot solve it.
