That Buhari has displayed gross incompetence before & now. There is absolutely nothing in his track record to show he is better than the 'ineffectual buffoon', therefore i am not expecting anything better than GEJ's performance from him.

Given an option of whom to make the CEO of your towering company, between GEJ and PMB, whom will you go for?

When u say pdp failed for 16yrs,is it with Obj,Ameachi and other Pdp members dat were in Pdp for d 16yrs but are now saints in Apc,are they d people dat we should try differently?
I was responding to a comment by a PDP supporter who stated that APC was not a solution especially as it also has large elements of the PDP in it. Now how can you argue that APC is not the solution for the above reason yet you think PDP which still has 100% PDP in it is the solution? Does that make sense?

Anyway, to bump you to reality, there is no such thing as a totally new party, whatever new party you create today will always be made up of a selection of people from the old parties; this common sense. That I work in Citibank today and then I switch to AccessBank tomorrow, that does not in anyway make Citibank the same as Accessbank.; this is common sense bro. Besides, Buhari and Osinbajo who lead the APC government today were never in the PDP.

Buhari is far better than the Ineffectual Buffoon. Under PMB, you can be sure of not witnessing mindless corrupt practices from his ministers and other appointed govt officials. And you also be assured that anyone involved in corruption will be dealt with promptly.

Fighting insurgency is also an area you dare not compare the IB with Buhari.

And surely, in a matter of 12 months from now, the economy will be healthy again as a result of the president's efforts and you will know that the Jona daft was a sleeping duck indeed.

Meanwhile Nigerians will starve to death waiting for Buhari 12 months from now, that is if it does not get worse.
Also Fulani herdsmen has taken over from where BH stopped, occupying a whole local govt. in Benue state.

But you guys never raised these issues during the last administration, you were okay with all GEJ was doing as president.

Going back to those structural issues you have raised, when the structure was okay back in the 60s, we never appreciated it back then as some over zealous misguided young men destroyed that very beautiful structure. Sometimes its more difficult to get back what was destroyed unnecessarily, the aftermath of the foolish acts of those young men remains the major reason why we can't go back to what has been described as the best system of Government Nigeria ever had.
So what solution do you proffer?

Obasanjo went back schools after 8yrs as head of state, Gowon went back to school after 9yrs as head of state & became patron & ambassador of several international NGO's.

Buhari still has a controversial WASC, 150 cows, became grand patron of Fulani cattle rearers, has 2 bungalows & N950,000 30yrs after retirement as a millitary general & head of state, collecting pensions & entitlements all the while and you expect anything meaningful from him?

Is he not failure?

Education and leadership are two different things.

. Being disappointed does not mean loss of hope. We are talking and we are still working. But the insecurity of a tribe in Nigeria affects the rest of the country. When fulani herdsmen destroy your farmlands, then how can you and your people survive? By keeping quiet? Every reasonable opinion on any discussion is beneficial to someone. Those who are tired of commentaries addressing the shortcomings of any administration can move on. It is not by force to comment. The government must prove to be accountable. OAU has a health emergency and where is the Minister of Health? They will not bother, because their own children are not in danger of such an emergency. How many of their sons and daughters attend federal universities and live on campus? How would they be bothered when the critical situation is not affecting them? Rampaging Fulani herfsmen invaded a local government and massacred 300 people and the President did not see it as a state of emergency? When the shooting and killing of some students in an American school made US President Barack Obama to call for a national vigil after a national broadcast on the tragedy. President Muhammadu Buhari is playing dangerous politics with the lives of millions of Nigerians. Have they arrested the terrorists on rampage in the Middle Belt? Boko Haram insurgents are not the only terrorists in Nigeria. Have they disarmed the Fulani herdsmen using military weapons without license? And some people want us to keep quiet? Keeping silent means consent to the impunity of the tyranny of a tribe oppressing another tribe. Imagine what would have happened if Igbos or Yorubas invaded and massacred Hausa Fulanis in Kano? Ignorance has destroyed more lives and properties than political corruption. Ignorance has killed more Nigerians than Boko Haram. And it is the ignorace of our constitutional rights they have been using to suffer us gladly. Everyday Nigerian girls are kidnapped and transported across the borders by sex traffickers to other countries and the government cannot stop them? Only cowards and fools keep quiet under the jackboots of tyranny and maladministration of an irresponsible government. And you don't have to agree with me, but I have the right to my opinion no matter whose ox gored,

You're one sensible fellow. A million times more reasonable than the bunch of Buhari's asss kissers on here. Very reasonable comment but sadly, the likes of passingshot will never reason in this line even if the herdsmen visit and decimate his whole community, simply because he gets one or more monetary benefits from the government.

Criticizing our national leaders does not mean we hate them.
Political sycophancy has done them more harm than good.

I endorsed Muhammadu Buhari for President, because he promised to guaranty the national security of Nigeria, but while fighting Boko Haram in the front, his fellow Hausa Fulani herdsmen are trespassing and terrorizing more Nigerians than even the Boko Haram.
Hausa Fulani herdsmen are threatening the national security and unity of Nigeria. And he is not dealing with them.

Then presently the government does not have a defined economic policy, foreign policy and education policy.
Since the APC took over the leadership of the national government, billions of naira have been spent without any change in health care, education and economy.
Millions of Nigerian graduates are still fasting and praying for jobs.

I am more concerned about the congested polytechnics and universities with shortage of qualified academic staff.
Our colleges of education cannot produce qualified teachers, because of outdated curriculum and shortage of certified lecturers.
I am also concerned about the broken healthcare system in Nigeria.
A healthy nation is a wealthy nation.
I am also concerned about the welfare of Nigerian workers, especially the low income workers who are among the most underpaid workers in the world.
Millions of Nigerian secondary school leavers employed by Nigerians in the private sector earn less than the approved national minimum wage of N18, 000 monthly salary.
Who can live well with N18, 000 monthly salary in the present day Nigeria with rising cost of living caused by inflation?

It is critical not only to capture the past, but to also capture and internalize the lessons from the past, as a road-map for success to the future. The Victory of Muhammed Buhari, by Michael Chima is a laudable step in this life learning curve.

The Nigeria of today doesn’t appear to hold any future for the youth of this country, but what is more worrisome is the fact that we just sit back and act like all is well. Things were bad but it became worse when we decided to enthrone a man in his 70s who's in an analog mode to move Nigeria forward in a jet age, now the man has taken us 50 years backward and about to unleash our greatest fear on us. (The war that was fought in the 60's). Am however not here to deliberate on the woes of this administration, but rather to awaken our consciousness to the realities of today. Yes I do agree that we should fight corruption, but there is a clear difference with fighting corruption and fighting corrupt people.
A popular saying goes that ye who come to equity must come with clean hands, you cannot be seen as operating with double standards.... some people appear to be immune to the so called fight simply because of party affiliation, while others are dragged in the mud for daring to disagree with the current government, in all we have got no single convictions only trail by the media. I believe that the way forward is to create institutions that would eliminate corruption using tools that would be clearly stated within our laws, empower our law enforcement agents to carry out high level investigation using state of the act equipment, hence bring forth logical conclusions to investigations with evidence that stand valid in any court. Yes the process must also seek to eliminate all rotten eggs within itself and then retrain and grant better conditions of serve to those who are willing to fight for the country.
A good General i believe must be able to pick his fights, I do not believe that the best approach is to fight on all fronts. Negotiations and high level secret bargains can bring better resolution than war.
with regards to the economy, in a digital age such as we are in, what any progressive country needs would be great thinkers, nobles, and experience by this I mean knowledgeable people with the right ideas, and the good will to put things to work. Not political solutions like what we have or this call for restructuring. yes i agree that the Nigerian federal system needs to operate as true federating units, and states that are not viable need to be collapsed into other more productive states which can help to even development within the character as the case maybe, we need to look inwards. i do not believe in masquerading by our president in the name of looking for foreign investors, you cannot go and be asking an outsider to come and help you put your house in order, when you have all the hands you need. Agriculture is key, a nation that can feed itself is way leg out of poverty. they is no state in Nigeria that doesn’t have arable land, all we need for each state to identify its strong point, pick a crop and capitalize on it, focus and develop it, using global standard. Every part of the country is either rich in solid minerals, commercial minerals or fossil fuels meaning that every state already has more than one source of income, not considering transportation, tourism and industrialization....
My point here is that for there to be a Nigerian dream we the youth must 1st deer to dream and have the guts to follow through with our dreams. We must say no to oppressive politicians.... we must as a matter of urgency resolve to stand on the side of Truth, Justice and Equity. We must live up to our responsibilities to our country, if our country must be great. we must say no to all those who seek to divide us on ethnic or religious lines, we have come to far as people to allow the greed of a few to divide us.... we are one, and we must learn to love ourselves and love our brothers, we must love our land to the extent that we can live to die for this land....we must awake for the days of slumber are over. The time to stand and be counted is now...
