BUHARI: TIME TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY...IS NOW!
When will Buhari's handlers make him accept responsibility for issues in his government? It is irritating and nauseating. You claim credit for positives and heap blame of negatives on others. The latest was that Buhari never promised to pay N5000. It was APC! Haba! I personally do not support the idea. But why denying it?

The other day, many Nigerians took the president up on his covenant with Nigerians in his first 100 days. The next thing was some people saying Buhari did not make any promises concerning first 100 days. They claimed it was made on his behalf. Some even said he never saw the document. Yet, this emanated from his campaign office and was distributed anywhere he campaigned!

The budget fiasco was another opportunity to wash off 'Mr. Clean' of any blame. First, the budget disappeared. It was later said to have been substituted. It then resurfaced. Then we started seeing some crazy figures. Ministries started claiming innocence. Then the president later signed and sent a letter to the Senate dated DECEMBER 21, 2016 and that letter was delivered in January! Yet, the president who appended his signature to this document was absolved of blame and heaped it on some imaginary budget Mafia! Can you imagine?

When EFCC is only interested in making noise instead of diligently but silently prosecuting those accused of stealing our money, Buhari's "abobakus" started blaming the judiciary and some powerful interests. Yet, a lawyer still told me as recent as last week that with the kind of cases EFCC is preparing, many of those accused will be discharged and acquitted! Then the blame will come back to the judiciary!

When finally cornered, they revert to the usual narrative: Jonathan and PDP have ruined the country so much that it cannot be fixed overnight. Or 16 years of PDP will take another 16 years to correct. Blablabla...

Yet, same presidency handlers supporters were quick to say the initial increase in power supply, fuel and naira appreciation about seven, eight months ago was due to Buhari's BODY LANGUAGE! I have never seen a body language with expiry date!

No one is saying Buhari is miracle worker. Never! But as a leader, those who can die for him should let him take responsibility for things that go wrong. That is what is called leadership! If you can always praise him for positives, why are you always blaming others for the negatives?
