Most Nigerians Look for jobs in totally unrelated fields. Civil engineers as policemen, you read fine art and you are working in glo. Imagine a doctor working in a Bank! SCANDALOUS! I'm involved with computers and i dont think i'd like to be involved in such contrasting scenarios. |

Borat, the naija of today does not totally agree with your opinion. Things have changed. my personal opinion is that as a graduate you should be able to have a little grasp of knowledge outside your field of study, so that you can fit into more than one positions in the industry. You are not expected t be tied down to your field only, You should be versatile. This is the new Naija |

Well, these days it does not matter what you specialised in - Commerce/Industry expects you to be flexible with your skills. If you wait to find work only in your field, be ready to remain UNEMPLOYED for the rest of your life. I bet this is not your parents or God's wish for you. But if you are a lazy person, keep your job search only within what you know - YOUR FIELD OF EXPERTISE, someday you will find work.  My Niece read Masters degree in Chemistry but now works in Investment Banking and doing well in it. Bet you got the picture of how the world is changing. No one these days stick to their field of expertise any more. You just have to change with time. |
