NIGERIA: A Country with different constitution for different people.

Nigeria like every other sovereign nation has a constitution which is supposed to govern every citizen of the country. Like every other country, Nigerians are expected to respect the constitution of the "federal" republic of Nigeria irrespective of their tribe or religion.

Unfortunately, in Nigeria the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria is meant for only a particular tribe and religion while a different law governs the other tribe and religion. What the Nigerian constitution supports in other parts of Nigeria it is helpless in supporting in the other.

The Nigerian constitution sees a 13 year old girl as a minor who is not allowed to enter into any marital agreement in the southern part of Nigeria but in the northern part of Nigeria the Sharia law over-rides the constitution. The issue of under aged marriage in Northern Nigeria is not new as many political and religious leaders in the north have boldly married girls below the constitutional age of 18 and have boldly kicked against any move to introduce stiffer punishment for paedophiles and sexual predators. They even say it openly that Sharia law permits the marriage between a minor and a grandfather and any move to use the constitution to change that is against the north and sharia law. Most governors, senators and emirs from the north have either married a minor from within or outside Nigeria. Don't ask me their names because you know them!

The constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria allows the government to generate revenue from companies through the collection of value added tax and all the 36 states of the federation including the states in the northern parts of the country shares from these moneys generated from these companies including the alcohol manufacturing companies. The constitution permits the manufacturing of alcohol in Nigeria but the Sharia law forbids same in northern Nigeria.

The money generated from alcohol manufacturing companies from areas where it is allowed (South) is shared among the states and federal governments including the northern states.

No state government in the south has the right in the constitution to destroy alcoholic products as doing so will attract legal suits against such state government but in the north, the Sharia law over-rides the constitution as state governments in the north can through its hisbah destroy same alcohol which generated the same revenue they shared together with others states.

If a Nigerian from the southern part of the country is transporting goods from the southern part of the country to the north,he/she undergoes series of checks along the roads across the nation and pays different amount of money to different state revenue agencies but the movement of cows from the northern part of Nigeria to the south does not attract such checks or payment of taxes.

It is obvious that the north does not want these anomalies changed hence, they kick against any move to introduce true fiscal federalism because they know the Sharia law will not allow their economies to grow.

Imagine the north without revenue from alcohol producing companies and oil.......

I have respect for other peoples religious beliefs and can not in anyway disrespect their religion but in a country where other peoples religion and cultural beliefs are not respected calls for worry . It also calls to question the unity in diversity which is always preached by many which i see as deceit by the elites who benefit from the fraud called Nigeria.

In all ramifications,Nigeria is not meant to be one country and can never be as it has never been. So if you believe that Nigeria is structured to be one country with equal right and justice, then you have a problem.

The earlier this country divides back to what it was before the Lugard creation of Niger royal company which gave birth to the present day Nigeria the better for us because the unification was done for economic reasons rather than political—Northern Nigeria Protectorate had a budget deficit; and the colonial administration sought to use the budget surpluses in Southern Nigeria to offset this deficit and it had remained like that till date.

For those of you who are not students of history and will be the first to shout "ONE NIGERIA" whenever the flaws in this fake contraption is exposed, hear this! The process of unification of the northern and southern protectorate before 1914 was undermined by the persistence of different regional perspectives on governance between the Northern and Southern Provinces, and by Nigerian nationalists in Lagos. While southern colonial administrators welcomed amalgamation as an opportunity for imperial expansion, their counterparts in the Northern Province believed that it was injurious to the interests of the areas they administered because of their relative backwardness and that it was their duty to resist the advance of southern influences and culture into the north. Southerners, on their part, were not eager to embrace the extension of legislation originally meant for the north to the south.

So, where is the oneness in Nigeria since creation?

Have you seen why Nnamdi Kanu as a student of Economics and Contemporary History hates the contraption called Nigeria with passion and has always exposed the wickedness of the gambaris and their British collaborators?

Have you seen why Nnamdi Kanu won the hearts of both the educated and illiterates?

Have you seen why the agitation for the division of Nigeria will never stop untill it is actualized?

MAY GOD OPEN YOUR EYES TO THE TRUTH!
