As Abia-North Decides: come Satur-day 5th March, 2016 the good people of Abia-North will go to poll to chose who will represent them in the Senate via a rerun election. I adduce seven reasons why the people of Abia-North have to reject Chief Orji Uzor Kalu. The first is sectionalism. Orji Uzor Kalu was governor of Abia State for eight years but there was nothing to point at as legacy in Arochukwu, Isuikwuato, Ohafia and Umunneochi local government areas. He did nothing in those places because of his penchant for sectionalism and discrimination. The assistance he could not give the people of Abia-North when he was governor for eight years, is it now that he can do it? (2)Idolatary was brought into Abia State by Orji Uzor Kalu and his mother, Eunice. It was a policy under Orji Uzor Kalu's government that no matter what contribution one had made towards the emergence of his government if one did not accept being taken to Okija shrine to swear to an oath of foolish allegiance to Orji and his mother, one would not be regarded as a reliable and trustworthy ally. Kalu turned Abia from Gods own state to goon's own state.(3) Lack of Transparency was overwhelmingly manifest throughout Kalu's era as governor. Public fund was not just misappropriated but commonly diverted and embezzled. That was why Abia State remained one of the most undeveloped states during his tenure.(4) orji kalu has inconsistency as his trade mark. Orji will take a position today but before you would know it, Orji has changed entirely.(5)Orji is a dire-devil opportunist. If Orji had declared and sacked some one when he was a governor and feels that the person could be of help to him in his quest for the Senate, Orji would shamelessly go for reconciliation with such a person.(6)There are two major political parties in the Senate, APC and PDP. Orji's PPA has no single councillor in the whole of Nigeria. It has no member in any State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, not to talk of the senate. No single tree makes a forest. The people of Abia-North are wise and should not fritter their senatorial opportunity away by voting for Orji who lacks platform.(7)In mordern day democratic legislation, Orji Uzor Kalu would surely appear a curse on any group that errorneously elects him as a senator. Orji is in every way incompetent to be in the senate. If it were any thing that has to do with fraud, like filling a carton with mere slashed papers and presenting same as a one million naira donation to Borno State Education Endowment Fund, I would not worry if Orji is asked to go. But this is a hallowed red chamber where integrity, pedigree, knowledge, good parentage and brilliance should combine to attract the best for an electorate. The above qualities and virtue are at the beck and call of Senator Mao Ohuabunwa. A vote for PDP is a vote for Mao Ohuabunwa and a vote for effective representation. The mother Odiuko is still alive and therefore, Orji Uzor Kalu is evil and cannot change. He ruled for 8 yrs without developing Abia North. We are saying VOTE PDP for the most credible candidate, MAO Ohuabunwa for Senate, Abia North.
