During my days in school, I was always excited listening to a radio jingle about my great state and it goes this way ''Bringing you the news from Eastern Heartland......''. And after which a good account of the developments going on across our state would be read. The government as at then wasn't rosy but we experienced true dividens of democracy.

We saw mass transit buses plying the roads of Imo state. Roads built then are all passing the taste of time. We didn't see huge abandoned project as we do now. No massive empty shops built with inferior materials tagged with bogus rents.

Contracts were not awarded to in-laws or associates or family members as at then.
Suprisingly, bidding of contracts are not made publicly for bidders anymore. Beautification took another dimension in Imo state by this current administration to a tune of N78million and N600 million for christmas tree last year. The beautification was contracted to a family member of the governor.

The 105 detachable schools project embarked by this present administration in it's first term is now a mirage. Those schools were not built for Imolite students for learning, but rather for cockroaches and lizards to abide.

6-inches blocks are seen used for flyovers. Are these sort of a death trap for Imolites? Why won't it be when contracts are shared among families and friends with little or no knowledge.

This Governor was loved and cherished by Imolites and that is why we gave him the mandate to be our governor in 2011. Since he decamped to the All Progressive Congress (APC), Imolites has not seen any capital project in the state.

Civil servants going on strike every week. No industry in Imo state is functioning as proclaimed by this government. Other state governors in the South East are investing in agriculture, road constructions and creating more channels for internally generated revenues to boost the economy of their individual states while the first lady of Imo state was hosting 17 Southern States first ladies.

Imolites, it is crystal clear that we were scammed by the 'Change Mantra' and the 'Bogus Promises' of this government. Imolites should start cutting their losses in the 2015 general election and let the winners run. We will not be cajoled to vote for any government that will be ran by families and friends in 2019. We have learnt our lessons.
