Talking about seat belt, I've observed that it's only the front seats passengers, i.e. the driver and the person next to him that usually use the seat belt. Hardly would you see others use it. Even the FRSC hardly enforces this aspect of road safety. And that perhaps explained why the driver, orderly, who apparently was occupying the front seat, survived the accident.

That Lexus is not up to 2 years. I guess that should be a 2015 Lexus LX 570. The explosion may be as a result of over inflated tires.

This is very very sad for us. The man is a member of my church...Foundation Faith Church, Utako Central, Abuja. That is the parish were the founder, Archbishop Sam Amaga preaches. This man take certain responsibilities in the church which sometimes brings him to the pulpit. His daughter who just graduated is a gospel singer. The man is a devout christian and a steadfast believer. I wonder why he ended like this. I can remember the last service I saw him in attendance. He usually sat in the front row

This is as a result of overspeeding. I think d escort drivers n all gov't officials vehicles should be cautioned over excessive speed if possible all gov't official cars should instal speed limit devices. Where are we running to? That's y we all clamouring for a better and safer Nigeria and Nigerian roads.it's better to be late to where u going than to be a late. R.I.p. so sorry its a big loss thou.

Am sure the 2 people in front (driver and ordely) were on seat belts. That would have saved them in this case of overturning. The PA who probably sat with the boy on third row is the one who strangely survived. Thats because i dont expect him to have worn seat belt but surving an accident like that is strange.

SUV accidents are more fatal especially if seat belts is not used. My office experienced this in a toyota prado. My bosses who sat on the back seat were seriously hurt while the driver and my colleague who wore seat belts only had a bruise. On of my boss has been confined to a wheel chair and no sex for the rest of his life after series of suregeries all over the world.

Thats why i personally hate SUV's.

Tyres were probably over inflated by the driver (road side vulcanizer things) and the passengers in the rear most likely didn't use their seatbelts. They almost instantly became projectiles as soon as the car summersaulted. Very avoidable accident. Drivers and Car owners should always pay attention to how much air is pumped in their tyres. Even the best tyre in the world will blow out when it is over inflated. Never trust your drivers alone to these little details... Always wear your seatbelts when vehicle is in motion whether you're in front or at the back. This accident was avoidable and the deaths were needless.
