The minister of state for Labour and Productivity, Mr. James Ocholi, his wife and eldest son died 57 kilometres from Kaduna, the Federal Road Safety Commission has said.

While the minister and his son died on the spot, his wife died later at Doka Government Hospital in Kaduna hours later.

The Kaduna State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr. Francis Udoma, explained that the accident when the rear tyre of the Sports Utility Vehicle conveying them burst and the vehicle summersaulted several times.

Udoma said, “The rear tyre bursted and the vehicle, summersaulted. The minister and his son died on the spot, the wife died in the government hospital in Doka, Kaduna.

“The driver, the chief detail, the orderly and the Personal Assistant were injured.”

They all fit into this suv because it has 3 rows of seats so its obviously a 7 seater. However what shocks me is how death singled out only the family and left the outsiders alive. The chances of death taking just him, wife and son and sparing the driver, pa and orderly is 1 in 100,000. The more reason why people would assume something spiritually diabolical took place.

So sad, sometimes there are things beyond human explanation and comprehension, even with the best of roads,adhering to speed limits, vehicle in good shape, obeying traffic signals, accident can still happen, husband, wife and son, left home very happy today but not knowing death is hiding to snatch them away.

This is truly sad

But how will the driver, orderly, PA & chief detail sustain just injuries while the minister & his family die.

How would they have all been seated in the car that death will choose only them? RIP to the dead.. My heart goes out to the remaining family.
