We moan and complain about our mothers, both living and late. We tend to see correction as us being picked upon. But one thing is plain here - if our mother's didn't love us, they would not correct our wrongs. Mom, it's been 28 years since you passed away in a road traffic accident in Nigeria, on your way to Warri, Delta State, you were just 49. It feels like just yesterday you were twisting our ears in the typical Nigerian mother fashion when us kids wouldn't listen, or swatted us across the back of the head when we crept out at night to watch The Amittyville Horror. Your children would give anything to relive those times again! You never knew your grandchildren, but you're with them in spirit. We tell them about you often, your pictures are their memories. Rest in Eternal Peace mom. My Nairaland brothers and sisters, always appreciate your mother, there's no one like her. As the Igbo's will say, "Nneka". Mother is indeed supreme.
