We always look forward to the AMVCAs. It’s one of the biggest movie awards that unites the continent of Africa together for one night. It is also an opportunity for movie stars and producers who have worked hard to get appreciated.

This year, the inaugural edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards held on Saturday 5th March 2016 at the Eko Hotel & Suites Andy was also televised live on all Africa Magic channels.

Hosted by Nigerian radio personality/BBA Host IK Osakioduwa and South African TV star Minnie Dhlamini, the star studded awards ceremony was one we would always wish had not end.

The 5 Celebrity Couples That Rocked The Red Carpet

Stephanie & Linus Idahosa

Stephanie was amazing. The “Dry” producer who also walk away with the award for best film was seen rocking the red carpet with her lovely husband, Linus Idahosa, wearing a Lisa Folawiyo Studio green bedazzled dress with exquisite butterfly details. Her husband, in his orange striped blazer looked very complementing.

This is Stephanie first red carpet walk since after giving birth to a bouncing baby boy some months ago.

Damilola & Chris Attoh

It’s been a while we saw these two together on red carpet. Thanks to the AMVCAs, we seen how uber-sexy these celebrity couple could look. Bad-boy Chris Attoh was extra dope with a mustard coloured blazer. Unlike Chris, Damilola decided to keep things on low key but still to put on glamour as she stepped out in a high-neck velvety print dress which featured a thigh slit.

AY & Mabel Makun

After weeks of rumours of divorce allegedly being carried by blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus the Makuns, comedian AY and wife, Mabel Makun have decided to break the silence and doubts on their marriage. And they did it perfectly, rocking the red carpet and looking fabulous.

Mabel rocked a baby pink strapless dress with a mermaid hemline and sweetheart neckline.

Dakore & Olu Akande

Last but no the least, our very own Mommy and Daddy, Dakore and Mr Olu. Fifty movie star Dakore looked fabulous as she walked the red carpet in a Dress by Funke Adepoju and a shoe from VR by Mobis and jewelry by Zoyas Jewlels. Styled by Rhoda Ebun, her husband Olu was there to support in his blue fabulous blazer and D&G sunshades.
