GMB doesn't get that this is our money not govt money and we need Forex to send our kids abroad do that they can come back and develop our country. It's pure sophisticated arrogance and ignorance for someone like GMB, who has been a govt employee all his life, to tell hard working Nigerians that they can't afford sending their kids abroad to study. China, India, Saudi, Quatar, UAE, Korea etc still send their kids to EU and US for study.
.just last yr, Naija in diaspora sent over $25bn in remittances - this amount is higher than Naija budget and accounts for 5% of our national GDP. He approves forex for prigrimage to Mecca and Isreal but not for students studying in STEM abroad ?? He has gotten our priorities wrong! I'm too ashamed to have supported this man! His opponents were and are still right.. He can never change!

Forex for study abroad can only take a few $mild which can always be offset with forex coming in through remittances like a Western Union, Rio and Moneygram. It's a net gain for the country in many ways. Any country that relegates education to the background in 21st century is forever doomed!!

I remember the days when the children of governors , ministers and even a future vice president were classmates .
Nowadays ,ordinary directors send their kids to foreign universities .
The people who are supposed to make sure things work , rob those institutions, run them down and then , send the kids overseas .
The most annoying thing is that those who do come back , only come back with fake accents and their useless "in-america" ideas.
The better ones ,usually the children of mekunus who were sent by parents who had to sell their principal residence ( house) ,stay behind overseas and achieving great things .
