To do that, you need to make use of another tool that can connect your iPhone/iPad to the computer and then project the screen. Recently, I've been using Apowersoft iPhone/iPad Recorder which I found pretty handy. Below are the detailed steps of using it to mirror.

Step One: Get This Tool on Your Computer
First of all, download and install iPhone/iPad recorder on your computer. It's applicable on both Mac and Windows.

Step Two: Set Your iPhone/iPad and Computer in the Same Network
One important thing you should know is that you must set your iOS device and your computer under the same Wi-Fi network.

Step Three: Connect iOS Device to Computer Wirelessly
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen on your iOS device to open the Control Center. Tap on the AirPlay icon, choose your computer name on the AirPlay list and turn on the Mirroring button. After that, your iPhone/iPad will be immediately projected to the computer screen. Then, what you do on your iPhone/iPad will be exactly what you see on the mirrored screen.



Tips: If you want to record your iPhone/iPad screen, just tap on the record button on the top left of the projected screen. And the video will be stored on your computer. You can set the directory in this tools settings.

That's how you mirror iPhone/iPad to computer. It's very easy, and there is no need of lighting cable.
