Analysis: "The Sky Is Young" by SalvationMopol: 9:02pm On Mar 13, 2016 |
I had this conversation recently with someone and we analyzed this expression "The Sky is young". Permit me to share our analysis cos u may av being discouraged in recent time but need that push of encouragement First the expression isn't idiomatic but a figure of speech: Both metaphor & Personification. B4 we further analyze what it meant let me bring to ur notice that our generation compared to our parents is far better of because 30yrs+ ago when our parents settled for marriage n life they were practically peasant. Technologies n developments as we av it today was nothing to write about as at then yet our parents generation were able to acquire a lot of this present day through hard work n favour. If they did acquire n were better of from where they started then how much more Is expected from u n I generation. Hence the sky is so young. It's too early to conclude or blame anything or anybody around u. The word "sky" is a symbol that represent a climax or peak of something n to some, It may b d beginning of another journey. While young symbolizes something that had d ability to grow or for growth The sky is young as u rightly said symbolizes hope n may also b doom depending on how the outcome of life unfolds. But for us d children of God it symbol can only b good cos God's plan for our tomorrow is good n not evil n to give us an expected end which we desired (I believe that no rightful thinking Christian wud desire evil of himself or herself) To drive my point the clause "Sky is young" explains that tomorrow is always ahead of today n is liable to modify d present challenges if any. Also it foretell us that we should always look out for d brighter side of life as a coin with two side, stick to d head n not d tail. Sequel to this, we shouldn't be discouraged because the 'end always justify the means' for if we are hard working n diligent, we shall reap a bigger n a better harvest..... Feel free to Add yours |
