The Chronicle of Education (TCE), an online newspaper that is thematically focused on education at all levels, hereby invites applications nationwide from qualified individuals and organizations for the following vacant positions:

1. Advertising agents
2. Marketing and Advertising officers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Applicants will be expected to
 carry out the usual professional duties and responsibilities associated with advertising agents/officers ,
 adopt a creative, innovative, enterprising, problem-solving approach in implementing their roles,
 be able to work in a fast-paced work environment with multiple inflexible publication deadlines set by management/clients,
 be able to work long hours under extreme pressure.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for any of the vacancies must possess
 outstanding IT skills, especially capacity to use social media platforms to continuously build up readership and attract advertisements from clients and potential clients within and outside Nigeria,
 verifiable, relevant and adequate competence and experience,
 HND/BSc, or its equivalent, and relevant professional qualifications.

REMUNERATION
 The position of an advertising agent is commission-based, with generous commission calculated monthly as a percentage of all fully-paid advertisements delivered to TCE by the agent.

 A marketing and advertising officer will be paid a consolidated salary, which will be one of the following OPTIONS according to an officer’s choice:
OPTION 1: a generous commission calculated monthly as a percentage of all fully-paid advertisements delivered to TCE by the officer,
OPTION 2: a salary which is TCE02 Step 1 on the TCE-CONSS scale, plus a commission on all fully-paid adverts delivered to TCE by the officer.
