I'm having a problem viewing my website www.futocomm.com on internet explorer 6.

It gives the error;

"Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site http://www.futocomm.com/
Operation Aborted"

It happens using just internet explorer. I had to upload the page again but nothing. Do you have a clue of where this is coming from?

Bottomline, given the fact that more and more are surfing on IE7 and 8, you might as well dump IE6, altogether. If this is cybercafe-inclined, I say let us as developers start to hold placards in front of every one of them, demanding that they upgrade

Yawa, with the statistics of those (especially cybercafes) still using IE6 in Naija, we're in trouble then

IE is wack but what can we do? Yeah, somehow, those cafes will need to told that they need to upgrade. I have already started adding to the footer section of all sites I code for, "this site is optimized for IE7+ and FF2+"

I tell you, I was about posting the futocomm site that nobody should even try using IE to view the site but, Make I pity them.

I think the problem also occurs on IE7. It was fix in IE8 Beta. Now that's a problem I have to find a solution to because because before them go upgrade to IE8, Church a gbasala!

The only solution that comes to mind is that you check your code for errrors. Also, click the link I gave you and the first one should open up a microsoft website that pretty much says upgrade to the latest. Then maybe you put a sniffer on there that tells ppl to go upgrade.

Worse case, It might be time to pull out a scalpel and do some surgery (code the header, test code the navigation, test, etc).
