Nairaland / General / Re: High Death Rate On The Lekki Expressway by 2AMLasgidi: 4:46pm On Oct 02, 2013
jerseyboy: Truth is this is no express way. Express ways do not have bus stops and round abouts. This road is a major scam.,

You just missed another opportunity to hide your stupidity!!! Ikorodu does not have a Bus-Stop abi? Oshodi Apapa Expressway doesn't have too? Lagos Abeokuta Express nko?

As for Roundabouts, People have provided us with info on the need to put them there. BTW, are you expecting that The Lekki-Epe Expressway will remain that 2 lanes it was in Jakande's days?

For me, I think the Accidents on this road is as a result of some factors:
1. Drunk Driving: a lot of people drive under the influence of alcohol.
2. That LCC road arguably has the highest number of pedestrian bridge within a 25km of road in Lagos. We can ask for more though... I just noticed that people people are too lazy to walk 200mtrs, 100mtrs to the bridge at least to save their lives.
3. I suspect people underestimate the width of the road... that's a 3-4 lane road (even if some people deny the obvious). You can't cross that road without full concentration
Politics / Re: Lagos Sued For Proposed N500 Toll On Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge by 2AMLasgidi: 7:35am On Mar 28, 2013
Has anyone thought of the implication of this bridge to the resident of Lekki Phase 1 & Ikoyi? The peace they enjoy everyday and at certain time of the night will go if Premium is not charged. Most of this guys ordinarily pay the LCC toll and still go to Tarzan to pay N1500 just to get into Ikoyi on time. If anything less than N300 is charged as Toll-Fee on that bridge Any kind of commercial vehicle eg "Danfo" and all sort will ply the bridge; and that is an invitation to trouble which you & I know.

There is an alternative, it is not compulsory for everyone to use the bridge there are viable alternative even to the point of not paying toll as long as the person can go through the pain involved. QED

Thank you for the picture and the update. It is really refreshing and heart warming. Lagos is in deed moving up the ladders. I hope the next govt 'll build on this and do better. Just like BRF built of Tinubu's legacy and has done better in infrastructural development

baba_eko: Guys

A few things, this forum is to allow for constructive comments on a matter of significant interest, so its senseless abusing each other here. We are all adults (Well I believe) so lets behave like one.

Whilst I didnt like the idea of the toll, I have grown to understand that governments cant provide everything, on the other hand, below are the things I dont agree with.

The cost of the toll is too high, I was thinking N100 max and perhaps something like N200 to cross all the tolls etc.

Secondly, if you read the route of the alternative road, it doesnt make any sense at all. The toll road should have been constructed on both sides, what they have done now is that ajah bound resident have to do a silly U-turn. To me that defeats the purpose, and the idea is to frustrate people and foce them to the toll. Ideally, there should be a dual carriage way (2 lanes each) for Ajah bound residents and also VI bound residents.

The above is what I have a problem with, also when they were planning the road didnt it make sense to them to construct a fly over, so if you dont intend to stop at Ajah, you can get on the fly over to come out after Ajah.

Very sensible line of thought. I also think we all should impress it upon the Govt to susbidise the cost toll fee, that is how it is done anywhere in the world. Meanwhile, we must know that LCC or any Private Company will not charge an economic fee. it falls on the people to call on the LASG to subsidise the fee to the benefit. Meanwhile, there is no alternative route in the world that is very convenient. You go thru some hardship so you can consider using the toll side although we currently go through this traffic logjam but when the road is completed it will ease off and we'll forget this argument

Hello you seems not to have read my post very clearly,I said 3 tolls within 49.4km road, likewise Mr ACN PRO where in the world do u have a 2 toll road within 10km radius? if any please mention.

You surely need to go do some crash programme on Geography to know that the distance between the first Toll Plaza and second is 10km. Stop misinforming the Public bro. why even bring party politics here sef. You must be a PDP agent. Olodo, simply geography U no know...

Here is your answer from just a simple Google search... No sweat at all. "...Vehicles operating in the Gauteng area will be issued with transponders which will facilitate an automatic transaction every time the vehicle passes under a toll gantry. Toll gantries will be situated 10 km apart along the highway and will also be fitted with cameras which will be used to record and bill vehicles that are not fitted with transponders. The new tolls will add approximately 30c per km to motorists’ travelling expenses and the non payment of tolls will become a traffic offence, with fines being collected through the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences (AARTO) legislation." and here is the LINK to the stuff ok? next time try google before coming here ok? http://www.aa.co.za/about/press-room/commentary/the-gauteng-freeway-improvement-project.html

People in support of a Public Private Partnership dont have to be ACN supporters, At least the PDP led Govt has seen that PPP is the way to go hence the commencement (SOON) of tolling on all Federal Roads. But don't you think it is not a Joke for LCC to have come this far if Bi-coutney couldn't even do 500 meters on the Lagos Ibadan Expressway despite all the support FGN gave since 2007/2008? Com'on instead of knocks look around you and give some kudos to this guys.
Politics / Re: Lagos Unveils Alternative Road For Lekki-epe Toll Plaza by 2AMLasgidi: 10:52am On Dec 13, 2012
megastu: @cloftec,

You must be living in a dream world. What communities is that footpath called alternative route going to open up. The nearby Ogunjiran community is cut off and fenced off the road, Ikota is not even close by. It is bush all over. The only standing building is the one housing "scintinla" club.

The truth of the matter is that LCC and Lagos Govt are not keeping to the terms of the contract. They are in breach. The original contract provided for an alternate "coastal" road not the patch patch footpaths they are calling roads.

I weep for Nigeria, Lagos in particular.

You must have forgotten what the entire Lekki - Ajah axis used to be -"Bush PATH". That road built by Jakande was just a link road to the "EPE Town". But today what development are you seeing in that axis? I leave that to your imagination and conscience. A little digression to the Iganmu-Badagry Expressway, you think the land you bought in that area before that road project started will remain same today or tomorrow? Try and price a building in ORILE now and you'll be shocked. Same applies to 'foot-path called Ogunjiran community' where land used to about less than N10m, but today with the alternative route (which i definitely think the LAGOS GOVT can do better) land now goes for over 18 Million. The Road has very good drainage system and even street light. I think we need to be fair to LCC in this area all they need to provide is the expressway, it is LASG's responsibility to do the alternative route.

As for the COASTAL ROAD, you goofed again! The coastal road, has been explained severally IT IS NOT AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE LEKKI-EPE EXPRESSWAY. It is a parallel road meant to be part of the phase 2 of the LCC concession agreement. Come to think of this, were the coastal road to been started, don't you think what happened to APLHA Beach and Kuramo Beach/Waters would have happen to the coastal Road? Until LASG and FGN build a coastal defence wall no meaningful project can happen... as an engineer I know this. You think Eko Atlantic City is just going to happen without the coastal defence wall? why didn't the Kuramo disaster extend to the Eko Atlantic City side? com'on think guys...

I can see the future and New Lagos, unfortunately, LCC is just the guinea pig to ascertain the veracity of the that dream land. hence the pain they are growing through. Like him or hate him Fashola is building on the foundation of his predecessor to build a fantastic Lagos of the future. Lety's see beyond today's pain guys...

skyfall: To you Fashola sycophants, abeg shut up jare. You cannot love him more than his wife. We all know he's a good administrator. The Lekki road project is seriously fvcked up. He knows this at the back of his mind, he just can't say NO to Tinubu who designed the road project around his personal gain.

The "alternative routes" are a huge joke. If you don't live on the Lekki-Ajah axis, forget it, you can't understand.

Make us understand. It is very uncharitable to think that it is only people living in Lekki-Ajah axis that road serves. Wake up guy! If you say this before LCC's intervention on the PPP model you may be right but today the entire area is opened up for new things. Look into the future see beyond where you live. You will be surprised that lots of people who live on the Mainland use the road daily.

As for BRF being overwhelmed by Tinubu... I wonder where people get this crap from. The guy has consistently said he is no puppet of anybody. He only take him high esteem. Come to think of it... If Tinubu is extremely as bad as you portray him why did he pick a FASHOLA. He'll have picked on lazy brat with little or nothing to offer. BRF has proved that He is independent minded enough to chart a life for himself. Please the guy his deserved credit. Even if he didn't start the LCC project, he is convinced that it is the way to GO.

LCC Road project has a lot of implication. The success of it will send a signal to investors especially considering helping our nation to tackle our Infrastructural development deficit. We need to encourage them to be able to tie down their money on a long term project like road and power. Lets ask ourselves, what was the value of properties in Lekki-Ajah axis before the road construction started, what is the value now? Let's face fact and move on guys... as time goes by i am sure the price regime will be looked into.

Kx: They unveiled the alternative road yet the pix on dispaly is the toll plaza.
Is it too hard to display the newly constructed alternative road for all to see and confirm?

I am sure the use of picture is the prerogative of the reporter/newspaper that reported the story. May be I should tell you a simple desk stop research shows that it is ThisDay Newspaper report that is uploaded. They place that at their door step. In the same report, the place is well described thus:
"...the new alternative route could be accessed from the expressway by turning into Chevron Drive from Chevron Roundabout, then turning right after the Chevron headquarters complex, taking the road running behind Chevron Complex, passing the Conservation Plaza, the Scintilla Events Centre, through Poroku village and eventually linking the expressway just before OluwaNisola House". What more do you need.

“The place was bushy when we started. Properties in the area will move up now that the road has been completed. We have the culvert in place and street light, this is not just an alternative route, but one that will scale up property values in the area.

“By the time we start toll collection, the alternative route will be ready for use. It is a new road. Several communities in the area will benefit from the new road as they never had a road before now,”

I look beyond just the road in the long run, the hardship people are currently going through is of great concern but in the long run the those of us living in that axis will be better for it.
Politics / Re: Toll Gates Back Soon On Federal Roads –onolememen by 2AMLasgidi: 4:21pm On Dec 05, 2012
There seems to be a lot of misconception on road tolling. If the Federal Government will toll our roads who will manage the roads? Wont the money still go to some crooks who will find a need for a Jet and some new set of cutlery? That is not taking away the fact that I am in support of tolling as long as the road will be safe for me, that the headache of Serious wear & tear on my car will be gone, that the road will reduce the possibility accident as a result of potholes and that it will be well maintained just what we are currently experiencing on Eti Osa-Lekki-Epe Expressway. Despite the teething challenges it is still arguably the best Road we have in this part of the world with emergency services, rescue operations and good security arrangements in place. If we follow News, haven't we seen how fuel tankers claim lives on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway? Totally different from how such situations are handled on Lekki-Epe expressway.

Let the FGN give the road to capable road maintenance managers to collect toll and maintain the road for a renewable period of time if total concession isn't going to work for them. This will afford the citizens opportunity to hold a private firm responsible for any avoidable wrong doings. Who can we hold responsible for all the avoidable death caused by potholes that should have been taken care of? But I can hold LCC responsible if anything untoward happens as a result of their negligence...

Let's forget about party politics of ACN & PDP... It is very clear that if Lagos State for example is to tackle the infrastructure of lagos, it may take well over 20 years using all its budgetary allocations/provision (neglecting other sectors including paying salary and looting). So it is clear there is deficiency with the population explosion, so PPP becomes a veritable tool to tackle the deficiency.

Nairaland / General / Lekki Concession Company Managing Director Moves To Arm Infrastructure As Ceo by 2AMLasgidi: 3:50pm On Sep 03, 2012
Asset & Resource Management Company Ltd ("ARM"wink today announced that Mr Opuiyo Oforiokuma, currently Managing Director/CEO of Lekki Concession Company Ltd ("LCC"wink, will take on the role of Managing Director, ARM Infrastructure Fund ("ARM Infrastructure"wink, with effect from 1st October 2012. ARM Infrastructure is set up to manage the new US$250 Million specialist infrastructure equity fund being established by ARM, with a focus on developing and managing a broader portfolio of infrastructure assets throughout Nigeria and West Africa, including power, transport, and water. ARM, a leading diversified financial services institution with businesses focusing on Traditional Asset Management and Specialised Funds, within which various products and bespoke asset management services are offered to its diverse clients, is LCC's founding shareholder and co-sponsor of the pioneering Lekki Toll Road Concession, currently being implemented by LCC under a 30-year mandate from Lagos State Government.

Speaking on Mr Oforiokuma's move and the importance of this step to ARM's infrastructure strategy, Mr Deji Alli, Group MD/CEO of ARM said: "Developing and managing infrastructure in West Africa, and in Nigeria in particular, have long been an integral part of ARM's vision and long-term strategic plan. We have steadily and purposefully pursued our infrastructure strategy from as far back as the year 2000, evidence of which is our successful achievement of financial close of the Lekki Toll Road transaction in 2008."

Mr Alli went on to say that: "Establishing LCC, and demonstrating the possibilities in the Nigerian infrastructure space, was the first stage of implementing our vision and strategic plan. We believe that we have done this over the last 6 years with Opuiyo Oforiokuma at the helm of LCC. The next stages for us now are to develop a broader infrastructure platform, with a focus that goes beyond Toll Roads. The vehicle for that is ARM Infrastructure. We already have a number of new infrastructure deals under development within the ARM Infrastructure pipeline, and are observing an increasing momentum in the pace of development in the infrastructure sector within our target geographical zone. We therefore believe that it is the right time to ask Mr Oforiokuma, who has 25 years of international experience and a proven track record in infrastructure development and management, to take on the responsibility for leading the next stage of implementation of our vision and strategy in this space."

Mr Oforiokuma was appointed by ARM as LCC's first Managing Director/CEO, in 2006, and has led the Company from inception to the present time, steering the Company along its pioneering journey as Nigeria's first-ever Public-Private-Partnership ("PPP"wink Toll Road Concession. This journey has included the achievement of financial close of LCC's N50 billion long-term financing package, on ground-breaking terms for Nigeria; gaining several prestigious local and international awards; execution and delivery of the first two road sections of the new Eti-Osa Lekki-Epe Expressway; and building strong brand name recognition for LCC locally and internationally; amongst several other notable achievements.

ARM's shareholding in LCC now falls within the ARM Infrastructure portfolio. Therefore, Mr Oforiokuma, who will remain on the Board of LCC as a non-executive Director, will continue to provide advice to the Company, as well as exercise oversight over ARM's investment in LCC. Furthermore, to assist with the Company's transition to new management, and to ensure continuity while new developments such as the commencement of the next stage of direct tolling of the expressway are implemented, Mr Oforiokuma will remain the Company's chief media and public relations spokesman for some time.
While recruitment of LCC's next substantive Managing Director/CEO is ongoing, Mr Mike Edington, currently Head of Asset Management at African Infrastructure Investment Managers ("AIIM"wink, and a Board Director of LCC, will take on responsibility for the day-to-day running of all aspects of LCC in the capacity of Acting Managing Director/CEO. AIIM, the official representative of the foreign shareholder in LCC, is a 50:50 Joint Venture between Macquarie Bank Group of Australia and Old Mutual of South Africa. Mr Edington has a long and distinguished career spanning more than 40 years in infrastructure development and management. His previous roles include Head of Project Finance at Nedbank, one of South Africa's largest and most reputable banking institutions, and Head of Concessions at Aveng Grinaker LTA, one of South Africa's largest multi-disciplinary civil engineering and construction contracting companies.
Further changes that are being implemented at LCC include the appointment of Mr Benson Ajayi and Mr Jobalo Oshikanlu, currently LCC Head of Finance and LCC Head of Legal, respectively, and both of whom have been members of LCC's senior management team for the last 6 years, as Acting Executive Directors on the Board of LCC.

Reacting to the announcement, Mr Oforiokuma said: "It has been my privilege to have led the multi-talented, passionate, and highly committed group of individuals that have made LCC what it is today, and to have enjoyed tremendous support from our PPP partner, Lagos State Government, our bankers, our shareholders, and various key stakeholder groups interested in the project, these past 6 years. While there were challenges at times, and that there are some still to overcome, we are pleased that we have made visible progress to date. Being in a position to now develop a broader range of Infrastructure opportunities through a credible group such as ARM, is a tremendous opportunity and natural next step. There's a lot more to do in the infrastructure space in Nigeria and West Africa, and we believe that ARM has a lot to offer."

SLS is right on the sales of PMS across the border. You need to go to Owode-Idi Iroko Road going to Benin Republic I counted over a 100 filling stations of no economic value to Nigeria! The filling stations were built to smuggle PMS across the border.

Now the question is? What is the essesnce of having loads of Custom, Immigration, Police & Army on that axis when a whole PMS tanker will pass without notice? With free N80 on a litre (80 x 33,000 ==N2.6million) You can always bribe your way in Nigeria without sweat!. Is Subsidy removal the only solution? NO!!! angry angry angry

Before Subsidy removal happens if it 'll happen at all, our Govt must built Trust/earn our confidence. They need to show us what a better life can be, How brighter things can be for Nigerians. Give us power, power will drive industrialisation, more jobs, more food (cheap sef) better living condition, good road network and improved transport system (improve on Lagos BRT model across Nigeria). And dont forget to hit the BOKO-HARAM guys (and their Sponsors especially in Govt quarters) very hard/root them out!!!

I’m alive, says man allegedly shot dead during protest Lekki toll protest

By Albert Akpor

LAGOS – Contrary to media reports that one person was shot dead by the police while several others sustained injuries during the protest that greeted the commencement of toll collection at the Lekki toll gates, the man told newsmen yesterday that he did not die after all.

Femi Ogunsanya, who spoke at the premises of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, however, admitted that he was manhandled by the police but later rushed to the hospital where he was treated and discharged.

The 38 year-old staff of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, Lekki undertaking told journalists that he did not participate in the peaceful protest that later turned violent, stressing that he was just a victim of circumstance.

He said he was shocked when his colleagues drew his attention to a newspaper publication that he was shot dead. According to him, “actually, I was manhandled by the police that day because I woke up in the hospital. I did not participate in the protest. When I closed from office, on my way home, I met Lekki Local Government chairman at the gate and we exchanged pleasantry.

Suddenly, I saw people running, I tried to escape but was grabbed from behind and a hit of gun butt on my head landed me on the ground; that was the only thing I could remember. I am alive.”

Reacting, the state Command Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Samuel Jinadu, appealed to media professionals to always verify their stories before publication, admitting however that policemen were drafted to the crisis area when it became apparent that the hitherto peaceful protest had turned violent.

Samuel Jinadu, appealed to media professionals to always verify their stories before publication, admitting however that policemen were drafted to the crisis area when it became apparent that the hitherto peaceful protest had turned violent

Don't say that, I've been abroad and a lot of the bills paid there are also paid here. Remember that a lot of people there get things on credit that's why the bills are huge. Everything here is cashed based. My friends complain whenever they are in Nigeria that the basic things are very expensive. Do you know how much an average Nigerian spends on petrol and we still have to pay light bills.
So please tell me the bills they pay that we don't pay over here. Yes they pay tolls but the alternatives are as good as the tolled roads. In my opinion, the bridge should be tolled instead Afterall it is an entirely new project.

Being an entirely new project does not mean that it should be tolled. All the things that sorrounds the the Bridge does not indicate that it will be tolled. It was initiated by the state government, built direcly using tax payers' money not that a concessioneer sourced money to impliment it. Believe me it'll not be tolled. Call it an alternative route to by-pass lekki first toll plaza. meanwhile more work need be done on Admiralty Road inside lekki to accommodate the huge traffic that will follow when the bridge is completed.

Welcome to new Lagos grin grin grin

@Ekoile and Lasgidi

You are missing the point particularly, Ekoile. The issue is not the tolling/taxing as a concept but the toll amount and system. In your bid to call everyone commenting ignorant, you have refused to get that salient point. Even hercules just talked about the amount and you didnt see that as well. Scroll some pages back and you will see where I also talked about the toll amount and system. GET IT we are already paying tax in Lagos so we are fully aware of the realities of taxation. It doesnt now mean you levy taxes that are too heavy for people. With the current tolling system, road users on that Lekki express will be spending close to 600 naira per day on tolls. Calculate that and see how much it would amount to in a month and a year. The toll is paid each time you cross the toll gates cant you see that? Like I mentioned earlier in a post, nothing stops you from selling tickets on a per day basis so that people can buy tickets they can use for the whole day and not have to pay each time they pass the gate. People can choose to buy tickets in bulk(monthly, weekly) thus reducing the gridlock experienced when toll officials start looking for change to give customers.

I appreciate the fact that we are coming closer to the real point we should have started with. The campaign in Lekki Area which unfortunately the resident placed in the hand of political guys like Ebun Olu-Adegboruwa was "No to Tolling on Lekki Axis" and I say, this is a misplaced agitation! The campaign should have been a call for reduction of the toll price, and may be the number of toll points from 3 to 2 points. This would have been easy for a Government to look into.
Imagine a Bode George leading a popular protest against the tolling, that already put a credibility question mark on the PROTEST.
As for the issue of paying tax, I know that in other clime which we aspire to; they pay more tax than we are currently being run after to pay yet they pay bills upon bills including tolls. Our government just need to more open as some opined earlier. I look forward a sincerely sincere government. But Trust me, no Government can actually satisfy all.

Definitely.

There's even more to this than toll or any other basic considerations. It's all about commerce and productivity. we are all losing all over because of gridlock. We waste so much time, money. manpower and productive hours because we sit in traffic instead of maximizing our working hours to be productive, generate funds and produce goods and services.

With less traffic and gridlock, we live a better and stressful life, we make and produce more which means more tax money generated to build more bridges and other social services.

God bless you Eko Ile, by the way some even forget that Our cars hardly have second value with gridlock we go through everyday. we pay more than N240 per complete trip on our cars if the road had been left in that "Jakande Way. Pot holes ridden, too narrow to accommodate todays traffic density, No Traffic Light, sandy median (which causes accident all the time, )

Did you have proof when you believed that Abacha stole billions?. Do you have any proof that Abdulsalaami stole billions?. Show us proof please or Abacha should be declared innocent.

This may be last time I will respond to some empty headed graduates (im just assuming you are one). before Abacha left office Swiss Bank & co had leaked his loot to the press. More importantly all his loots were documented and in Public domain. I need you to print my post as an assignment, go back to school and understand what "burden of proof means.

Olodo rabata!!! I can help you open your blocked brain at a token you know,

This bridge is definitely not going to be tolled, it's not a concessioned property, it's a direct contract awarded by the Lagos state government and funded by the Lagos state government.

I don't even know where some get their usual ignorant nonsense from. If it's going to be tolled, where is the toll plaza and government policy about tolling this bridge??

What I'd love to see is some kind of trust fund system in place to make every user contribute some money for proper and professional maintenance of this beautiful infrastructure.

Now, to put this in perspective the Toll gate will definitely have few motorist using it. More traffic will be going thru Ikoyi to link Lekki.

Please answer this one question. A simple yes or no will do:

Will the bridge be tolled?

Call it another Alternative route to the toll gate!!!, Now shame to those who claim government is here to milk them. Most people working in Lekki axis are living on the island all they need do is just drive into Admiralty Road link the bridge. pronto, you on your way to the 3rd mainland bridge. Now I can see a Fashola decongesting Lekki Road especially for people coming to Ikoyi and going to the island.

Welcome to New Lagos.

The burden of proof is the accuser this is a trite principle of law and social contract, We want Proofs. not empty allegations to mislead people. Let the poster give us hard fact and evidence that fashola is a part owner of LCC or Hi-Tech. I know that Corporate Affairs Commission is open to to us if we need fact on the owners of this companies.

How quickly we forget? Those pouring invectives on fashola today may have forgotten the hard decision he took before Oshodi became what it is today. Have we forgotten how often people were robbed in Oshodi, Have we forgotten how often some of us missed our flights because of Oshodi?
I remember how Lagosians on Ikorodu axis protested against the BRT lane and system when it started, the same people are the ones you see on the queu today enjoying the services. BRT/LAGBUS was alledged to have been owned by Tinubu back then, today people with funds, banks, Investment organisation are participating in LAGBUS operations

I have come across all these misleading information especially in interviews of Bode George and Obanikoro (These are people who never contributed anything positive to lagos). Let a Jimi Agbaje or GOS -Ganiu Olanrewaju Solomon come forward to make this allegation and I amy have reasons to believe. recycling this allegation will not build infrastucture that we need most.

Fashola desrves some commendation as much as I know there is room for improvement. He has shown us that government can still work in Nigeria. Let PDP government come forward to show us what they have done especially in terms of infrastructure.

A typical Toll Plaza road as obtainable in other part of the world. Our appeal is is for LCC/LASG to work hard such that the travel time on this road can be drastically reduced. LCC need to increase their efficiency by making sure that not more than 15-20 seconds is used on each car. As for LASG LASTMA and Traffic control Personnel should endeavour to control traffic effectively.

For example people going to Mobil or using alternative route should be made to keep right from after Law school. Information board should have been there to do that. The traffic must be managed to be barest minimum. If the current palliative measure of allowing vehicles (Motorists) to drive through without payment is temporary measure then a long and lasting measure like this need be in place.

you referenced silverbird TV, yet you failed to listen to the glaring part where the STV camera man was attacked by the thugs and his camera seized before entering their bus and zooming off

quoting ochibs1010 " very funny indeed, i wonder if you read you comment before posting it, does anyone here look like a toddler to you? *mscheeeeeeeeeew*"

@Rad1cal: Thank you for raising this matter jare; The reporter need to convince us that The same Camera he used to cover the event was not the one that was collected and not returned to him as he said in the Interview. If tapec was destroyed as he alledged by in the interview how did he get the report he that was shown to us, I would have bought his position if the STV report was not crispy and or if it was mentioned that the video report is from AIT or Channels, no TV station showed us the thugs during their rampage. Nobody recorded even with phone either motion or still

See, STV is a PDP man's station He'll work for the making of capturing lagos anyday!!!
