One of the most important things to online surfer and computer users is keeping their activities safe and sound, at least protected from hackers and unnecessary loss important data. Most celebrities and social media users have lamented on sudden invasion on their account(s) by hackers who then use it for unsolicited posts or upload of unclad pictures and videos. Some people have also loss important data from their gadget due to storage devices getting damaged, misplaced or infected by virus.
Below are tips that keep you safe using your devices online and offline.

Choose strong passwords.
One of the first precautions in protecting unauthorized users to gain access to your accounts is choosing strong passwords with letters, numbers, and special characters to create a mental image or an acronym that is easy for you to remember. Create a different password for each important account, and change passwords regularly. Twice in a year is recommended by ICT experts on a normal circumstance.

Backing up your data regularly can protect you from the unexpected. Keep a few months’ worth of backups and make sure the files can be retrieved if needed. Password your important files and remove sensitive data out of the view of your desktop or devices screen.
