The APC led Adamawa State government has so far spent over N12 billion on road projects since the present administration came into office, the Commissioner of Works, Lilian Kayode, said yesterday.
The commissioner said at a media function that the projects were awarded under a transparent process to ensure accountability while the government ensured high standard.
Kayode added that the road projects were part of the commitment of the administration of Governor Muhammadu Jibrilla on the provision of infrastructure in the state, saying the projects were spread across the state.
She added that the administration had installed street lights in order to increase security at night, and urged the public to support the government in its quest to move the state forward.
According to her, a total of 53.7 kilometers of roads have been constructed in and outside the state capital while government is planning to embark on new projects across the 21 local government areas.
