The students of Osun State University has embarked on three days fasting to beg God for the reversal on the policy of changing the nomenclature of the University to Bola Ige University by the state governor.
The students of the institution reached this conclusion during a meeting last Monday to draw a plan on how to reject the renaming of the institution.
According to our source who is also a stakeholder in the students' association under anonymity, the renaming is very good but it is coming at a very wrong claiming that the school is yet to earn a desirable popularity in Nigeria and any form of renaming would be injurious to the students.

"Everybody is aware that in Nigeria today, institution's brand is highly important in the labour market. Employers are not ready to even interview graduates from a university that is not famous not to talk of empoying them.

"Why is the governor of the state coming up with this idea when he has not solved the thousands of problems militating the university in all its campuses."

The renaming of the institution has, however, generated heats among the students of the institution as many of them had lamented the problem they tends to face after graduating from the institution.
