One will ask, who does the job better as a CBN governor, A banker or An Economist? We forget, that the CBN is not just like a commercial bank, it's a bank that any decision made there affects the country as a whole. But forgive my ignorance, so far, how has the CBN governor's Monetary Policies help strengthen the naira? If the policies have so far strengthened th naira, Nigerians wouldn't complain becos at least we are seeing results from such policy but the situation is still the same, so it just means that Nigerians are suffering on both sides. Still wondering how the elites are getting forex to fund their children school fees and needs abroad.

I dislike alcohol but Palm wine drinkers are also voters.

Palm wine is not alcohol, stop comparing it to beer and schnaps. angry

For goodness sake palm wine is not alcohol, any palmy that intoxicates has been tampered with.

Fresh palmy which I drink daily does not intoxicate, even my new born baby has a dose of it, its the ones that have been tampered with that intoxicates.

Dont form holy for me. angry

If we are all shouting Okonjo Iweala's name, we need to scream CBN Gov's name too... He's the reason this nation is in this mess.

I loved okonjo iweala. I think clearing our debts during OBj's tenure was a master stroke of genius. I always said buhari should have kept her, but hes too rigid. Not unlike some of his supporters.

Some pple just see d surface of things and scream murder. Life is not black and white.

Just like slapstick comedy the Nigerian political scene gets even more ridiculous the more attention you pay it. Adams oshiomole calling those who disagree with the CBN forex policy palm wine drinkers is another example of the ever flourishing comedy scene of the Nigerian political class. But sadly most of it is absurd, badly pitched jokes on our common intelligence; and serious thinkers are not laughing.

When did it become an offense to disagree with policy makers on the direction the country should be going? When did we stop accommodating politically relevant protestations, even those that manifests themselves as typical Nigerian calls for the simple solution of removing the ogà at the top in the misplaced hope that it would make everything, all our troubles, go away?

As far as I know we are still operating a democracy, and in democracies----even those far more rooted than ours---people call for the heads of those they feel are not handling public affairs competently. They are not palm wine drinkers, neither are they the derogatorily uttered speculators, they are honest and burdened Nigerians who are discontented and, aggrieved with the snail like way the economy is shaping up.

Adams oshiomole should not merely dismiss their concerns with unbridled political highhandedness and arrogance-----for a start eminent Nigerian economists are on their side-----but rather the ruling government and party, which he is part of, should admit their views, sincerely consider them, before doing what is in their own interpretation best for the country. Enough said.

Since Oshiomole married that white woman, he has been the worst person i have listened to. If PMB was a sound economic manager, the first person he would have sacked is the CBN governor for mismanaging the economy. Godwin Emefiele was brought in by GEJ for the purpose of looting the CBN. Besides, the ghost of most importers are on his head as allegations that 90% of Forex reserves is sold to Dangote group at less than the official rate. So, Oshos, which one you dey?
