Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by deji2009(m): 8:44am On Dec 31, 2010 |
olacoa: Dear olacoa, Please answer Yes or no to the followings as this helps us to narrow down the problem. Microsoft 2007 opened the document ? You can make changes to the document ? Microsoft 2007 can close and open back again ? Basically the usb inserted is not been recognised and as such you're not able to save the document. Method 1: Attach the document to an email message and print it at the business centre by checking your email inbox. if you don't have a 2nd email account set up another. Swap test computer with another usb device or the other way round. any difference ? Have you tried all usb ports on the computer Is this a laptop or a desktop ie Windows XP or Vista To double check the usb device click start, run and type in devmgmt.msc press enter click + universal serial bus controller Any yellow signs ? or !. Good luck |

Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by ZIMDRILL(m): 2:03pm On Dec 31, 2010 |
Dis Guy: i guess you are trying to say your pc is slow when starts from hibernation how much RAM do you have ? and how much of your disc space is left on your hard drive and roughly how many programs would be running when you put into hibernation |

Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by sameolg616(m): 3:44pm On Dec 31, 2010 |
be informed, wen u hibernate, it is always advisable u close any online activity, music, games or movie playing, the system on startup will try to reference the memory location holding such data, this is very evident wen ur playing music and u hibernate, on startup,u will get like a scratching sound because its trying to countinue from wer it stopped.dat way u will kill ur hard disk gradually, hibernation is best used wen u have idle programs running in the back ground |
Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by sameolg616(m): 3:49pm On Dec 31, 2010 |
for those suggesting ram and hard disk space for hibernation probs, thats never tru, its simply a simultaneous reference to a particular location on hard disk and in memory, so its expected to slow down, eg, its like trying to rejoin a bus on high speed rather from the bus-stop |
Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by olacoa: 3:50pm On Dec 31, 2010 |
@deji2009, tanx bro. From quertion 1 to 4 is yes. Like i said b4, i cannot launch any application on it again even 2 browsd, its impossible. This is wat happened 2 usb ports also. Nothing is working except the ms word. |
Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by ZIMDRILL(m): 4:01pm On Dec 31, 2010 |
sameolg616: i dont get you there i did not suggest more RAM but wanted to find how much he has then for the hard drive yes the hard space plays a big role in hibernating, the file are temprary put on the hard drive then back to RAM when it powers back on |

tunnex190: hello sir whats the make of yoyr phone, do you use a pc suite in my opinion installing the pc suite 4 the phone model is the best way to ensure that your phone works properly with your PC, but if your phone is a samsung then it could just be that its an incompatible driver issue, |
Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by deji2009(m): 8:26pm On Dec 31, 2010 |
sameolg616: ZIM DRILL: I agree with you both and most importantly sameolg616 advice about a simultaneous reference to a particular location on the hard drive. worth to check the RAM size like ZIM DRILL has advised. for example a customer had 500GB and 1GB RAM and paging size allocated from the RAM to the hard drive is 320MB then this problem would occur. That's my explanations about the hibernate issue (hiberfil.sys) |
