I just got a manufacturer Refurbished HP Mini 13g-110 dx x2 today. Plugged it to power, and set up my account etc. When i take a look at the battery icon...system told me 'no battery is detected'.


This is the same when i detach the tablet. it still tells me 'no battery is detected'.


I have updated Bios, restarted, updated battery drivers, disabled and enabled drivers, etc, yet the problem still persists.


Once i remove power cable, system goes off.


Pleaseeeee, what can i do?

change the battery and see if it can detect it.maybe a bad battery

hi friends...just discovered this thread today am glad.......i just put on my HP 620 laptop today and saw this on the screen "" 1820 smart hard drive detects imminent failure failing attribute c8 pls back up the contents of the hard drive and run HDD self test""...pls wat does it mean

maybe the hard drive is not positioned properly or may be faulty.try and open the spot where the hard drive is located and position it properly.if it still gives same error, try and change the hard drive and see if it works.

I've been making use of my laptop for over 3 years now. I've replaced the charger once only. The battery is no longer good because it doesn't last more than 10 minutes once the charger is disconnected. Suddenly, there was a power failure & the system shut down on its own moments later. I must have charged the system for over an hour after power was restored but to my surprise, it didn't on. I later discovered that it no longer charges. I transferred the battery to another system, it powered it as well as got charged. Transferred it back to my system, it powered it but was not charging. What could be the cause & solution to this.

After that i gave the charger time to cool down and i plug it back to the light and it don't work again. Does it means the charger is burnt or? Pls help me

Mother board? My suspicion all along. How much is that going to cost me. Is it worth trying to repair it or better to get a new laptop all together.

I disconnected it only for me to be unable to reconnect. The connect button wasn't functioning and it said no signal.
I uninstalled and reinstalled and the same thing happened. It'd connect the first time after installation but on disconnecting and ejecting the modem, nothing happens afterwards.

I've resorted to uninstalling and reinstalling any time I wish to browse, long process if you ask me.

Obviously the problem ain't from the modem cos I installed it into another laptop and it's working perfectly fine.

Anyone with ideas on how to go about it, I'm worried sick.

how did u plan to reload the new OS....
I believe u correctly set up the BOOTABLE OS in a USB flash or DISC..
