Hi all. I use a HP Pro book 450 G1, win 8 Pro. I downloaded (1.4GB +) windows update, which downloaded successfully and began to install, as it got to 95% complete, It show "Failed, reverting installed update" It has happened twice. How do I correct this? As I want to download win 8.1 from windows store when I install these pending uptates. Need your help please.

Basically one or more of those updates needs to be installed separately. This is a known a issue with windows update. You want to make sure you are not forcing all the windows update to install all-together.

Or if you are lucky enough to know which update is causing this issue at that 95%...try and install that update separately.

Or, you can try and do those updates in groups of 10-15 so as not to cause them to fail. I know it sucks to do that....but its better than it failing all the time.

Are you running the laptop on just battery alone? or is it powered to the wall? (could be poor battery)

Are you getting any display on the 10 sec or just a black screen? (if black screen....then it could be somoething wrong with the system board or memory)

my Toshiba computer is giving me serious problem, most time ill need to start it like 5 times before it starts normal and presently I have a lot of job on it... Please somebody should help me. What could the problem be

Hmmmm, your OS is corrupt or try enter through safe mood... Restart ur PC and hit F8
