you can can know the version by the name. Names like kaspersky endpoint security, kaspersky anti-virus etc.

you will have to boot from a flash drive. just find a system that has the cd drive, copy the contents from the root of the cd to the flash drive and boot from it. make sure the option to boot from the USB is enabled and move it to the top of the boot order.

I bought Tokunbo HP Probook after a week when am charging the battery I discover the battery level isn't increase and I got battery not charging, then I decided to get a new battery unfortunately the problem still persist.

Mind you my older system I got before I bought Probook it has board problem so I was thinking could this problems come from the electricity supply or my stabiliser is causing this damages to the both system?

Pls your positive advise to this my humble request shall be highly appreciated.

the audio port should be at the front, back, or both of the cpu. Just get an external speaker, or headset, or woofer, or errm what not cheesy and connect as illustrated. if you have a problem hearing from the speaker, then you need the drivers to be installed.

Sorry jare. Does it show the bios screen or a blinking underscore or nothing at all? if the latter, then hippy have a laptop with graphics issue. Reply and I'll give you an old trick.

is it a new laptop with factory installed windows? If yes, then go to system properties from your control panel and click on activate windows while connected to the internet, otherwise use the search service on the internet to download an activator

In the right-pane, double-click DisableCMD and set it's data to 0.

I think you are using an older browser or a proxy server to browse, if the earlier happens to be the case, then simply upgrade your browser to a recent one.

Help!!! My computer is putting me in a temporary profile as a user. What I actually tried to do was to do a quick scan on my computer with Avast antivirus( although its expired and I need to update it). After it was through, it asked me if I wanted to run a full scan on it. I clicked yes and it rebooted my computer and kept on scanning for a long time. When it reached about 55percent, I aborted it and my computer restarted again. When I tried to sign in, it showed, 'Preparing Windows'. When I signed in, I saw most of my desktop icons gone. So I had to go to 'My computer', then 'Users', and I saw my computer was using a 'Temporary User' for me. Meanwhile, if I go to my normal user, I will be able to see all my files on it. It then prompted me that ' A temporary profile has been created for you. You may need to sign out before accesing your files' . Then I tried signing out, and re-signing in again. And it was even showing me my Normal user. Still it took me to the temporary profile while even showing me my Normal User as the profile picture and account. I don't even understand 'coz I have only one user. I have never switched users or anything like that on my laptop. How can I fix this problem
go to system properties, under the work group, change the work group name. U could do that by simply renaming it to workgroup1. Hope it works? Don't make the mistake of moving your files to the temporary user as all files saved to the profile gets erased at every restart.

Plz I need your advise. I bought a brand new Toshiba laptop...I didn't use it up for 10months before it started giving battery
problem(the battery doesn't use up to an hour). Later the problem escalated to blue screen....btw an hour usage, d PC would reboot itself Atleast twice showing blue screen. I left it like that and went to the NYSC orientation camp, on my returned, I noticed the keyboard has started malfunctioning and d battery was finally dead. A month later, d screen stopped displaying and d keyboard stopped working. The engineer said I ll get a new keyboard, a new HDD and a new battery. Though I know the cost of replacing all this will be lesser than getting another one but I want to ask which one is preferable. Repairing this one or getting a brand new one.

a new one will always be better as the batteries you would get will always fall short when compared to a new one. Depending on the condition of the laptop, you could trade it in for anew one. Check my siggy for contacts.

No I haven't try any adapter, I don't even have idea what adapter is lol. Anyway, the two PC is with Engineer. I just want to know whether its just a minor issue I can handle myself coz am tired of all this Computer Engineer adding to the problem of PC.

There are lot of things that can cause the problem. What did you do before the problem started? Meanwhile, do a system repair with your Windows installation media first and see if that will be of help.

If I copy any file on flash drive from my system ,it won't show or show short cut when transferring it to other system
Also just yesterday I suddenly saw my system sparking . something life flame coming out of the USB port . the funniest is that my system was still working but I off it . this morning too when I on it ,it did the same thing .the issues is that there is no smell of burnt coming out of it

First of all, try to install the software on compatibility mode. If you had problems with it then you can shrink your local disk(if it is not partitioned into more than one disk partitions)and install Windows XP on the new partition.

you have a virus on your pc that infects and hides the files on it. The fix is attached to this comment. Just copy it to the root of the flash drive and run it. Take note of the. Vbs files, search for them, and delete them from your autostart apps. Secondly, your USB port is bad. It sucks for it to short-circuit, may damage the board or even connected USB. Needs physical therapy from a qualified personnel asap.

Please I need a help about my new memory card. I bought a new 16GB advance media memory card just yesterday and inserted it with a card reader(not the adapter that was bought with it) into my laptop to copy music into it, after copying about 500mb files, the m. card started saying the "the directory location not found" whenever I wanted to copy into it. Since then no device can recognized the memory card even with different cars reader.
Please what can I do to make my new memory card come to live again. I've tried different options of solution ranging formatting with cmd to using disk management (disk part method) but all these did not work since the card could not be detected.

your memory card is fried. Thats one of the problems of memory cards.

my sister's HP620 refuses to charge! Once its plugged, it indicates that "Plugged in, not charging" and when I got a new charged battery from another HP620 installed, it gives a prompt of "consider replacing battery"!!! Changed adapters but still no change. When the system is OFF and disconnected from the power adapter, the jack indicator keeps flashing in orange. Kindly advice.

have you tried using the so called battery on another system? Try it. I suspect the battery.

try to check if the option to calibrate your battery is in the BIOS

Ok, thanks. But how do I check that? I only know of HP diag. tool which has been unistalled due to reinstallation of OS.

just check the diagnostic tab in the bios menu
