dunkem21:Some Nigerians like their leaders to be lying to them and given them fake hope, that is why Nigeria is poo, in other part of the world, the politicians tell the masses the truth, if something go wrong, they will tell the masses how many months it will take to fix it. You guys are used to lying and liars giving you fake hope, why people continue to suffer, Sacking Kachukwu will not solve the problem because he told Nigerians the true situation of things, resignation of Barth Nnaji then, did not bring any improvement in the power sector 1 Like 1 Share |

This call by the APC on the Minister of State, Mr. Kachikwu to resign has given a canon fodder to the critics of APC, who hold the view that APC is not a party, but a congloromation of strange fellows who came together just for the purpose of seizing power from the PDP. Does the APC not have an internal mechanism for calling erring members to order, rather than showing to the world how dis-united they are? If Kachikwu has committed a freudian slip, once too often, are there no internal arm of the APC to tutor their members on the art of communicating with the Press and Public, so as not to shoot themselves in the foot, through response to questions posed to them on their duties by the Press. So many questions about the APC are waiting for answers. APC should thank their stars that they are in Nigeria, if it were in a country like Britain, which has a very vibrant opposition, APC would have been really roasted by the opposition for the unguarded outbursts by its officials. 11 Likes 1 Share |

With this Separate and Attack style of politics playing by the APC leaders, many of their ardent supporters hope is dwindling by the day. Perhaps we pray that the resignation of Minister for Petroleum for State (IBE) will lead to the disappearance of long queues in filling stations around the country. |

You have to wonder how normal countries in the west and Europe do it. I mean, To Nigerians, 24-Hours power supply is same as a miracle from heaven. It is no miracle. It is more about the mentality of the government and it's citizens. When a country does not have a culture of maintenance, quality or continuity, then there is no way in hell that the country can maintain even an hour of power supply. Nigerians cannot maintain a university hostel and keep it functioning and they expect to maintain a complicated power generating system. Ok. Good luck with that. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

He didn't cause the problems in the oil sector and the ppl who are benefiting from subsidy won't go down without a serious fight. He just told the truth that's all and ppl wan to roast him for it. What of power? Who dey talk about NEPA wey na only bill dem dey supply, dem no dey supply light, can they fix power supply in 20 years? Somebody gave us an honest answer of two months and we are castigating him. Mchew! 3 Likes |

Well, it is all very well to get resignations of both the Minister of State and the MInister of petroleum for some,or to blame GEJ for others. Having said that. 1.Nigeria can only produce 17million liters of refined PMS daily. That leaves 23 million litres deficit. 2.Our refineries are in a bad state, and need repair or replacement 3.We need four new refineries...and several mini-refineries. 4.We also need fuel conservation polices. 5.We also need to eventually improve public transport. Even if APC govt goes home in failure tomorrow...that does not change the above facts....or the fact that it is going to take years to fix them,or the fact that we are not making enough dollars to import oil. We had queues back when oil was 112 per barrel...and we have queues now. Time for APC to be realistic, and not to rely on jamboree promises. 1 Like 1 Share |
