The truth is, kosso wood export in log form is prohibited and moving wood to port harcourt sea port is illegal and the truck may be confiscated along with the goods by the customs if you are caught.

There are more than enough haulage operators in Shagamu. Most have refused to go after bitter experiences. As we speak I know several trucks that were loaded with kosso woods to port Harcourt since February and are yet to offload because it is more difficult to bypass the customs officials who are more careful to mess up with the new comptroller general.

So, it is a risky venture to go into. You can go to jail for allowing your property (truck) to be used for smuggling. Ignorance is no excuse in law.

If wahala comes, the çhinese guys who are the real owners of the smuggled wood will find their way out of the country and leave you to suffer.

The exportation of this wood is wrong . We allow these heartless chinkos to come here and destroy our environment and forestry for peanuts and the same gullible nigerians are helping them to destroy our country.
