I still respect the Oba of Benin any time any day..you can never catch him in every political social gathering, hooking up with top politicians..Royal fathers dont go about visiting people up and down rather people come to visit him..they are realy seen in occasion..i dont understand these royal fathers of these day especially the ones from the south westa and the north.

A revered traditional ruler like the Ooni shouldn't be seen at every social or political event no matter the circumstance or his ties to the celebrant. The Oba of Benin will never leave the palace to visit anybody even the president except such person comes to visit him in Benin. It is part of tradition. That accounts for the degree of respect and reverence the binis accord the palace. So much familiarity breeds contempt.

How come you try to Lord Benin opinion as standard. If the Benin's decide to cage their Oba in the palace, it is their own cup of tea. Our Obas have been free to move, associate and relate even with other Kings.
