Zaidu Sanusi's stats

Zaidu Sanusi annoyed me with his repeated violent plays against Foden. He would have injured the Young Man for no reason.

I found that really displeasing.

I'm sure he would have pleased you if Foden had ridden him to get a brace yesterday undecided

There is a difference in committing fouls and being violent to injure a player.

What Zaidu Sanusi did repeatedly was sinister and malicious.

I did not say don't foul but don't be violent while doing it.

Well, the young man don't care about how you feel. He needed to get the job done, he wasn't ready to give Foden any space.

how many yellow cards or repeated warnings did he get for committing the 'so violent a foul' or the referee was so blinded he didn't notice?

calm down master grin. PEP tried mahrez against him no show, now foden nothing came out. It shows you how this guy has improved. Just give it to him.I believe he must have done that to instil fear in foden. Its part of the game.

Sometimes you must not argue what you don't know.

After his last two fouls, the commentator clearly stated that he was shocked the referee did not book Zaidu Sanusi after two horrendous attacks on Foden.

So no need using that as an excuse. I hope Zaidu Sanusi cleans his act before he injures someone badly.

Zaidu Sanusi played very well. That is not what I am talking about. He defended well. I think he had a brilliant goal line interception of Sterling's shot which the commentator praised his reading of the place Sterling was to shoot to.

My problem was violent plays that were unnecessary.

I have no problem with fouling. Fouling is getting the job done. I have a problem with violent plays.

Just like Marega's stamp on Fernandinho's Achilles tendon. Those kind of plays are uncalled for.

We, Man City foul a lot but majority are non violent but gets the job done.

Hmmm you surprised me with those your comments on Sanusi and Foden

going rough here and there, while performing your duty is part of the Game, the main purpose is to discourage ya attack for coming at you, at will, and the drag his confident level down,

or you want him to go easy on Foden, to give Foden more confidence to come at him right?

You should be glad, Foden keep his cool, cos, if he dont, and lash out at Sanusi, he could get a red, and city might had loss that game

A player does not need to be violent to make an effective foul, especially when it was unnecessary. Actually Zaidu Sanusi was lucky not to get booked. Marega got booked and was taking off by the manager.

Zaidu Sanusi can make an excellent defender without violent tackles.

egbon you hit the dart on the bullseye.

going forward we should only be calling 7 defenders max! 3 fullbacks and 4 center backs. like you rightly noted maybe he's scared to drop some players but every good coach should never be afraid to ruffle feathers for the sake of the team. right now in the here and now only these guys Balogun, Akpoguma, Awaziem, Ajayi, Ebuehi, Aina and Sanusi should be the chosen 7 allowing for switching and changing due to loss of form and injury.

for the midfield rohr and his scouts really need to earn their pay. compared to other positions of the team how many central midfielders can rohr honestly say he has called and tested? needs to improve.

attack is adequate in my opinion it's just the midfield composition that affects the teams' balance and attackng structure.

Icon4s:

Not that we have no Midfielders, Rohr prioritizes invitation of defenders over midfielders. What do you call an 18 man squad that will have 10 defenders ( 6CBs, 2RBs and 2LBs). Some other teams build their Team around the midfield. We build ours around the defense because even going forward we are lean up-front.

What is Rohr doing with this large number of CBs:
Leon Balogun
William Troost-Ekong
Chidozie Awaziem
Kenneth Omeruo
Semi Ajayi
Kelvin Akpoguma

6! And yet he doesn't know his best pairing option.

And he will still invite Zaidu Sanusi, Collins, Ebuehi and Aina as Full backs.
Yet he will still be playing a CB as RB!

It appears Rohr doesn't have the balls to drop some of these defenders.

We don't need more than 6 defenders, at most 7 to prosecute an AFCON qualifying game. The other spots in the team should be used to invite midfielders and forwards.

Until he breaks somebody's leg and destroy a career or more or less damage his leg in the course of it.

Everyone can be rugged but at the end the result does not favour anyone.

if we go by your word, then Foden should had leave the pitch with a broken leg or serious injury

What you are saying that as long as there is no injury to the player, then the move is not malicious.

Look at the picture below. That was a malicious tackle by Puncheon, which he actually planned to injure De Bruyne but De Bruyne completed the match without injury.

Are you saying because De Bruyne did not injure, the tackle by Puncheon was not malicious?
