Victor Osimhen appears to have found his form at Napoli but still experts are divided over whether he has justified his big-money transfer.

Former Italy striker Bruno Giordano said Osimhen is not worth the over 80 million Euros Napoli splashed for him last summer

“I don’t know if the Nigerian is worth so much. I know that Haaland at Borussia costs less and so it is logical that the square should question itself given the high expectations surrounding Victor, who is only 22 years old,” Giordano argued.

“He has different characteristics from the other Napoli strikers and this season his growth has been held back by all the injuries he has had.”

However, former Inter Milan star Benoit Cauet said he believes the Super Eagles striker is back to his best

“Osimhen is showing interesting things, he is finally making the plays he did at Lille,” Cauet told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

Osimhen has so far netted five goals in 22 appearances for Napoli this season.

Lol not really because being tall doesn't mean what it used to in the NBA. A while ago once u were close to 7 foot u automatically became an NBA prospect but now u have to know how to do so much more. The big men are very skilled.

Pls jihday where are the qualities?

I think the issue is Rohr nothing more, honestly a good coach will bring out the best in our team.

I just wonder when people will get it. It doesn't matter how many afcon or world cup competitions we go, with Rohr in charge it will always be the same result. When will we learn? We get results in the here and now and turn blind eye to past events. Una go still come talk the same thing before and after afcon plus world cup join. Thanks Kog man

But he's not a regular international nor young prodigy so how he wan play? Abi he get EU passport? And in my opinion I would be surprised if he can break into the first team. I would be shocked if Westham doesn't sign Lingardinho or at least get a loan extension.

There is a certain Andrew Omobamidele at Norwich. He is just 18, and already a starter for their first team. He is a defender, and Norwich is playing in the EPL next season as we all know.

I said US junior team (U17) not NBA junior team.
Thank you for clarifying my assumptions.
Indeed, he is a proud Nigerian and the United States is taking notice of us (Nigerians) in a very good way! Specifically, academics and sports!
BascoVanVeli:

No there is no junior team for NBA players. He played U17 when he was in highschool. I will go out on a limb and say he is well in tune to his Nigerian side just knowing the region he is from plus the fact his parents are from naija.

He does answer Nigeria related questions. Just like when he told a reporter that naija players are so good because of the food grin

The fact is that nobody on Earth will refuse playing on the dream team. Even Hakeem the Dream played for them so our best bet is to catch them before they even get to that level.

How many times will I tell you people to stop comparing farmers league to the big 3 Yoi can't compare scoring 21 league goals in Portuguese league to the epl or seria a

Ranking are not static.

As at 1990 when Yekini joined the Portuguese liga, it was among the top 5.

In fact, from 1986 to 1990, Fc Porto made the Uefa champion league finals 3 good times though won one.

Do you understand?

I share your sentiments about Azubuike Okechukwu and I believe that that only a few among all the people criticizing him here have actually watched him play.
I've never watched him at the club level but I was really awed by his performances at the national team especially during Siasia's stint. I just wish he was a bit lucky with transfers. His ball control, distribution and positional awareness were a delight to watch those days.

Former Nigerian defender, Obafemi Abiodun has urged Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze to be consistent with his play for both club and country.

Abiodun, who was part of the Dream Team 1 that won the Atlanta Olympic gold medal, told a Lagos-based radio station that he has never doubted the potential and talent of the Villarreal star.

He, however, appeal to the Nigerian international to show some level of consistency in a bid to take his game to the next level.

“Chukwueze hasn’t shown that brilliancy consistently, you will see one of his class today, the next time you will get disappointed by his form,” says Abiodun.

“Sometimes looking at the Chukwueze, I must confess I watched his game for both club and country, his talent is not in doubt but there are some things I want him to be doing that he is not doing,

“We want to see that brilliancy more often, you will see one now and you don’t know when you will see another so, it is the consistency that is lacking in his game. I remember in those days you wake me up in the middle of the night I will give you what you want, we are always consistent we will give you what you want .”

Everytime Chukwueze gets the ball and tries to dribble, I am like he is going to lose the ball or run into a cul-de-sac and he does.

Brotherly, your views are not sentimental. Any discerning mind can see the skill set Azubike packs. His confidence and and attitude when he has the ball is just exceptional....he is not in a hurry to give away passes when nobody is available for the ball. I pay great attention to these things. Like I have always said , Azubike is a million times more talented than Ndidi, Ndidi has just been very fortunate but when it comes to talent I will put Zuby way ahead.

When it comes to tackles Zuby and Ndidi are on par but the only advantage Ndidi has over Zuby is height, full stop.

Versatility; Zuby can play a 10 , a 4 and centrally in the midfield because he has the skill set to hold the ball and dictate play flawlessly.....Ndidi lacks greatly in this area, always in a hurry to give the ball away.

I hate to compare these guys but I am looking strictly at their abilities not achievements or status.

Azubuike has never been unlucky with transfer

He made a mistake going to Egypt but he returned back to Europe immediately on loan and was signed permanently

He won the Turkish league with Istanbul BB

He is far from anything unlucky with transfer

I know English is not our first language but let try a little and understand things in a much wider range.

Being unlucky could mean that he has not been able to get an offer to play in one of the best leagues in Europe and this has nothing to do with his abilities, because there are many players who play in top clubs yet they are not top talents. These things are not black and white.....it is more complicated than you think.

Azubike didn't go to Egypt because he loved the place so much but for an African player in search of greener pasture you will take what comes to you and work with it. This is not rocket science....few months ago many of you self hating black African had written Nwakali off and called him lazy and failure. You see , this is what the white man had done to you. You cant think critically, most Africans can't , anyways.

English teacher I see you

Can you point out where I talked down about nwakali you said I hate ? Someone that I didn’t even insult when he wasn’t playing ,get your facts right

Same you have insulted ndidi so many times

Leaving turkey for Egypt is greener pasture right

Azubuike hasn’t done what will make him play for one of the best league yet

I like to argue with people with football knowledge and you don’t have any in you (saying this with my full chest )

You go get sense las las
