Arnaut Danjuma hopes his move to Villarreal earns him a regular place in the Holland squad. The winger joined Villarreal this week from Bournemouth. Danjuma told NOS: “I think I have a better chance of being called up to the Dutch national team again if I assert myself at Villarreal. That is certainly a goal." The attacker also qualifies for Nigeria. He added: "Yes, of course. I have to be honest: at a certain point time runs out. “I have always consciously chosen the Dutch national team and I would really like to play for Oranje again. But of course I can't wait until my thirties to do that. I also really want to play football as an international and experience a major world tournament." 1 Like |

Equating Aboutrika to Rabiu Ali is an insult to Aboutrika and to African football. He is regarded by some as the greatest Egyptian football of all times, won the nations cup twice, BBC African footballer of the year, 2nd in Caf, highest goal scorer in FIFA club competition s. Haba is it the same football we are watching or sentiments? Can't forget the day he scored a 90th minute winner against Esperance or WAC Casablanca Caf champions league Final. Make una fear God abeg...he is still 42 years 5 Likes |

The in-demand forward is ready to make the step up to any of Europe’s biggest sides, but spending another year in France will help his development, says Les Merlus gaffer FC Lorient have confirmed that Nigerian striker Terem Moffi is not for sale at any price this summer as they see the exciting attacker as an integral part of the club’s medium-term project. Moffi, signed for only €8 million from Belgian side Kortrijk last summer, finished his debut campaign in the French Ligue 1 as Lorient’s top goalscorer. The 22-year-old found the back of the net 14 times and provided another three assists to help the then newly-promoted side avoid instant relegation. But even just as impressive as his clinical left foot is Moffi’s raw power and searing pace that has seen the youngster being compared with new Chelsea signing Romelu Lukaku. And it is no surprise that some of Europe’s big clubs are taking notice of a forward who only earned his two Super Eagles caps in June in the international friendlies against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund were among the first to be linked with a move for Moffi. And recent Soccernet.ng reports, as per FootMercato, suggest that La Liga champions Atletico Madrid and Serie A big boys Atalanta are also monitoring the Lorient star. However, Les Merlus have moved to quickly sweep aside the transfer rumours, with head coach Christophe Pelissier insisting that club President Loic Fery has decided to keep Moffi at the Stade Yves Allainmat for this season. Stressing further, the former Amiens manager said, as per Ouest-France: “The fact that a player like him is requested seems quite logical to me, and that is also gratifying for the work that is being done here. “We are able to hatch very, very high-level players. Terem is already a very high-level player, and I think he will get even better with time.” Moffi registered his first league goal of the season in Lorient’s surprising 1-0 home win over title hopefuls Monaco last weekend. The Nigerian international will look to add to that when Lorient make the trip to face Montpellier on Saturday. |

andrew444: Ramsdale is a bad keeper, because he made it to the Euros means he is a good keeper? After Henderson and Pope withdrew who else was there? I know you have not watched him once your only argument is "Arsenal bought him,he went to the Euros" like Arsenal didn't buy Runnarson 2 Likes |

RB Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi is in contention to get his first call-up to the German senior national team this month, according to Sport Bild. Per the report, new Germany scout Herrmann Gerland was in the stands to see Adeyemi and RB Salzburg beat Austria Wien 1-0 earlier this month. 19-year-old Adeyemi has had an impressive start to the new season, scoring six goals in six appearances under new RB Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle. The Munich native played for Bayern München as a youth player, but joined Unterhacing in 2011 after he was released for disciplinary reasons. Later this month, Germany coach Hansi Flick will name his first squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Liectenstein, Armenia and Iceland. |

Eizzy003: Sorry to say this like CHRISKELS said sometime ago...kids from southeast rarely show that patriotism glare to play for Nigeria same with some fromsouth west unlike south south kids.... Even when it is glaring that Eze is not good enough for 3 Lions he still wanna keep hoping Even should Nigeria and England qualify for the world cup they may end up not still playing at the the world cup and not make call ups for both countries because they were busy waiting for England and France instead of pitching their tenths with Nigeria and switch nationality on time 1 Like |
