The Yak was too unserious for my liking.

Yak was a lazy player that's just it.

I remember their Sydney 2000 camping which I opportune to witness live, honestly if one is not a thorough coach who knows the game very well one would dropped Yak but guess what the guy is good around the box.

Yak lazy attitude failed him against South Korea...that missed.

Their closeness to Europe is one factor that really count in their favour... They have quite a large pool of players to pick from..
Nigeria's pool of foreign born is mostly from England...And most of them are either very average or unwilling to commit to play for us..

While the francophone countries like Senegal and CIV with their close relationship with France have the biggest pool of players in Europe to chose from... The French league is really filled with so many players of francophone Africa origin that haven't even be capped... it is crazy!!

it's largely due to the policy tghat France operate in their colonies,

it's not just football alone in many areas of endeavours, cos it's a Flexible policy,

unlike that of England which as rigid as Olumo rock

Arsenal came for Chuks and Osimhen too. Ajax and some other top European clubs renowned for youth developments outside the UK came for Nwakali. Omerou left his development in Belgium abi Netherlands to run to Chelsea. Bros, these things are all down to choice and foresight.
Yes you are right but Osimehn and Chuckwueze moves failed not that they don't want to join Arsenal.

I think agent need a role to play in deciding the future of these young ones....I can tell you much about Awoniyi Liverpool deal. When it came up oh my God there is no way to it than for him to sign....I think the economy situations of the country is a determinant factor.

Their moves didn't fail, they just couldn't agree to the terms due tonthe red tape rule. Apugo told Chuks never to hurry about the move that the coast wasn't clear due to the red tape rule, so Chuks came back to Umuahia to study other deals, then he finally settled for Villarreal.

After Osimhen was invited and showed round Arsenal facilities, he acknowledged them for the kind gesture but he new there was no future their, then he headed for Germany.

Nwakali was overconfident because he thought it was gonna be similar fate as Iheanacho's but he didn't know that "oke soro ngwere maa mmiri, ogaghi ako oke mgbe okoro ngwere"

Yea they are doing pretty fine churning out stars, but about that Adeyemi, Amoo is a better talent and plays more mature soccer. But while Germany is calling Adeyemi, our PHE master is overlooking Amoo

Nobody might have advised them

The average Nigerian football lover sees epl as everything ,you no say you no go get chance to develope for arsenal and Liverpool but you go there

Exactly
Oshimen then said his pastor advised him to pick Wolfsburg and today it all worked out for his good even though it was rough at the onset

The nwakali brothers would have become stars had it been they opted for Belgium or Netherlands clubs that really helped Chuks and Ndidi only Nacho proved successful thanks to Pellegrini

What helped Chuks and Oshimen where advises from close persons I remember how Oshimen said his pastor advised him then to pick Wolfsburg Chuks age delayed his move up to the time only Villarreal were now more serious

I'm telling you, young Nigerian and African players should be wise, those big clubs sign them as piece of business, they aren't given chance, from one loan to another.
Young African players especially Nigerians should understand that they aren't from Brazil and Argentina and other South American countries, young players from South America are given chances in those big clubs compared to African players.

Pastor said he should picked Wolfsburg but that decision was a nightmare we could have lost a super star...possibly the same pastor told him to move to Belgium, that loan move to Belgium was a massive decision of his career.

Well, the boys care little about their careers but they might regret it in the future if they aren't already regretting it. Just look at Amadou Haidara that was bullied in the midfield by Nwakali in that 2015 final

Yeah He was way too young then after the under 17 world cup.... he was 16 so they had to wait till he clock 18 and by then only Villarreal prove so serious in getting him which opt for and he hit the ground running afterwards

Meanwhile, December 27th is the date clubs are supposed to release their players for AFCON..
The tournament starts on January 9th... that means there's 2 weeks for teams to prepare..

Meanwhile, we should brace ourselves of the possible injuries that will befall African players in the weeks leading to the start of the tournamentgrin .. A lot of clubs will do anything to keep their star players away from the tournament. grin
don’t think this will be possible, because National teams have the option of ordering such players to camp so they can do their own assessment

It Musnt be Belgium

Epl teams do develop young talents but it’s always hard for you when you are not English when you sign for those big teams

Maybe nwakali awoniyi might have gotten a chance at Southampton and co

If chukwueze signed for Madrid or Barcelona or Atm it will be another case

As a good talent Villarreal getafe and co will always give you a chance so Chuks joining Villarreal was a good decision

Even osimhen joining Wolfsburg was a good decision ,it’s just that he struggled as an 18 year old kid and injuries wasn’t fair to him ,Wolfsburg allowed him played 14 bundesliga game in a season ,we should not expect everyone to use 10 minutes like iheanacho did for city to make an impact ,it’s very hard

As much as I love Onuachu, I think it is time to try other strikers to see who nicks that third striker choice spot. Onuachu is doing well at Genk same as Awoniyi and Sadiq for their respective club sides but, I would rest Onuachu for now to see what those other two can bring to the team. Onuachu is a good striker but he is static compared to these two

Mind you, I was the first person who started championing for Onuachu's call up back when he was at Mitjyland, especially after that goal against Manchester United, so your hater mantra is already dead on arrival

Thank God your eyes have opened on Onauchu abilities and what he brings to a struggling side like Nigeria

Will want Rohr to try out sadiq and awoniyi give them run of games bring in oshimen as subs against Cape Verde and Liberia
Either of Awoniyi or Sadiq can get the job done

We seriously need midfielders

Wish we can relay this to the NFF calling barely 4-5 midfielders to prosecute a match and 9 standing defenders is uncalled for

If they are to try any striker ,Awoniyi will be better ,sadiq should move to division 1 first

But they rested onuachu in our last 2 qualifiers so why aren’t you satisfied ?

Buscaglia: "Osimhen is among the top 5 in the world"
21 October 2021

Ricky Buscaglia , DAZN commentator , spoke to the microphones of Radio Marte where he spoke about Naples and Victor Osimhen :

“ Spartak Moscow-Leicester thrilling game, Daka's first goal was decisive and then plunged into the roller coaster of the second half. Will Naples and Leicester play it? You have to see what the Legia thinks about it. The day will remain uncertain until the last, no one expected the Legia there. I still think that Napoli and Leicester are the strongest, if they are careful they can get plenty of points up to the direct clash.

Osimhen? It still has enormous growth margins, currently it is among the top 5 in the world. With continuity of performance and application together with Spalletti, if he manages to get off on some aspects, such as the bank game, this boy becomes a total and dominant player in the next scenes of the European scene. He was missing from our tournament and that sends many opposing coaches into crisis. There are those who quit taking risks but he has enormous room for improvement.

Europa League final? We hope two Italians, I am sincere and honest. For how he is putting himself in the Champions League for someone there is the hope of finding themselves in the Europa League. From February onwards, the level will be higher. And I also remember that whoever wins it goes to the Champions League ".
