TheLoneCitizen:You've started twisting the argument. The 'world cup' in my argument is to show you how high he has performed as far as the level of football is concerned. At least Musa and Etebo are not starting games for us due to the availability of better options. You bringing them into the argument means you're nailing yourself There was no reason to bench Uzoho for Akpeyi during the AFCON. Rohr tries it and we paid for it in the most painful manner. |

JohnBullMySon:Poor. . . Has he being convincing? Has any of his performance indicate he is better than Uzoho? He, being a FB has being working for him. If Uzoho or Akpeyi are the one conceding 4 goals and making mistakes, would you have spared them? 3 Likes |

andrewbaba44: I do not know why I am so excited about Xavi. Maybe because I have been watching him closely since he was a young guy in Nigeria '99, or I believed he made football look too simple. I do not know if he will do well with the challenges Barcelona are facing. One thing I know, we are going to see possession football in a very beautiful way when the little genius kicks off. Can't wait. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSfV6xL8MJs |

Danielnino00:The funny thing here is that, being realistic, Cape Verde's chances of winning that Tuesday match is almost zero. If you notice, our team mostly struggles against a team that came to draw. And honestly, you can't possibly thrash a team that came to defend. The only major problem with our team is that we miss clear chances a lot. Without those silly misses, we should be giving those small defensive minded African teams at least 2 nil. Rohr's preferred tactic is counter attack, because we have excellent attackers, that's why it is difficult for big teams to overcome Nigeria. Once the game is equal in possession, the team finds it easy to score. But once the opponent is laid back, na wahala because we are not yet at that elite level of creativity to tear defences open easily. So if you sit back against Nigeria, you have a chance of winning or drawing. If any of those teams had tried to keep the defence line higher, trust me na 4-nil or above. However, for Cape Verde, coming to Lagos to sit back, will be very difficult for them to do, even if the coach says so, given that they have more at stake and sitting back will more likely lead to a draw than a win. So their only option is to score an early goal, then sit back. But that will be a gamble for them, because Rohr's counter attack strategy could lead to a goal in their net and keep them attacking, which will result in more goals against them, trust me. So very likely Rohr will start Chukwueze or Ejuke. The game will tilt to who scores the first and earliest goal. Nigeria is the favorite here, due to a deadlier attack. I only pray that Sierra Leone doesn't happen again. It's very unlikely though. 9 Likes |

JohnBullMySon:I disagree, Liberia actually looked better than us on the ball. Do you know how bad you have to be for Liberia to play more attractively than your team? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Philosopher1979: 3:12pm On Nov 14, 2021 |
JohnBullMySon: Rohr should start with chukwueze and ejuke at the alsame time as wingers in a 4 2 3 1 formation. Ejuke can also drift into midfield and help iwobi with 3 creative players running and passing at their defense cape verde will be forced to defend. I mean chukwueze, ejuke and iwobi will be too much for their players to contain. But I doubt rohrs competence. 1 Like |
