Chief Icon4s.... you are most spot on. smiley

Remember in my very first analysis on the Camerounian team at this Confederations cup after their game with Chile.... I stated that Cameoroun is very dangerous and quite threatening from set pieces....

They have Moukandjo from direct freekicks. And most notably they have guys like Ngadeu Ngadjui and Teiku with their aerial prowess when in the opposition's half from corners and freekicks. Most especially Ngadjui.... he showed same at the Afcon.

This is one detail I hope Rohr and His team of experts/strategy analysts really take serious.

And I must say this game has seen a much improved Cameroun. They are playing really well against Germany. But their weaknesses are finishing, Decision making in the final third and a few more.

Overall, This Camerounian team is good... very very good. And That Lad Ondoa is truly a wall.

This is Cameroun's best XI we have watched for three games now so Rohr and his team of experts have no excuse. We can see their strengths and weaknesses... we can come up with a very good tactical plan taking notes of even the tiniest details so as to be ready when the Lions come calling.

Delivery from the set pieces have not been too accurate and they can't seem to cross the ball well.
Bassagog has potential but his final decision reminds me of one certain 'Ikedia'

Bassogog full of energy but not much of an intelligent player. He fails when he needs to make that final tactical decision.

But all the same he is still a major threat.

And finally Germany leads.
Swift , quick and intelligent passes. That is what we need against this team.

Why Brighton Targets Moses Simon & Troost-Ekong Are Yet To Resume Training With Gent

Gent of Belgium Nigerian duo Moses Simon and William Troost-Ekong were absent as the team picked up a win in their pre season training with a win in their first test game.

The club which is home to five Nigerian players in Moses Simon, William Troost-Ekong, Rabiu Ibrahim, Anderson Esiti and Samuel Kalu, only had Kalu and Esiti available for the game against CFU Drogen which they won 3-2.

Simon and Troost-Ekong have been linked with a move to newly promoted English Premier League team Brighton, but their absence from what we gathered is not connected to their proposed move away from the club.

” We were given extended break due to our involvement with the national team of Nigeria, we will join our teammates in training next week”, Moses Simon exclusively told Owngoalnigeria.com in a chat at his residence in Kaduna.

He was however non committal when we sought to know if he will be staying with the club or not despite reports linking him with a host of club after a fine end to last season’s.

That is for today's game... but against Chile and Australia... they showed good glimpses of their aerial threats in opposition areas and from set-pieces.

As for Bassogog.... I have been saying it... he is a huge threat and carries great pace with super energy to burn. But he lacks the finishing touch and has poor decision making in the final third. But he can still come good on a very good day in those two weak depts in his game.

I wonder why Cameroon have kept faith with Vincent Aboubakar. Zoa is another good striker on the bench.

Yeah... you mean Zoua.... that's true.

They also have a certain Toko Ekambi... but it seems Aboubakar is their best bet. At the Afcon, I remember they went with Zoua in a couple of games.

Hello house, I have an observation that I would love to be analysed. I just watched the U17 team of 2013. Why can't our senior team play like that. That intense pressing, the sleek passing. The effortless scoring.

It takes selecting a certain type of players and drilling them for a long time to adapt to the system. Unfortunately, due to the short time coaches spend in camp, it is hard to get this done in a short time. Also to get to that stage at such professional level will require taking loads of bashing before calming the storm. Most fans and NFF management are impatient to achieve such football. One loss and they are on the necks of the coaches and players.

It takes patience. In the U17 level, the coaches spend close to a year or more in camp with these lads.

Also, the choice if coaches matter. Coaches like Manu Garba and Amunike are Coaches that like attractive footie.

Collecting Red card is always part of Cameroon's game.
Now they are 2-0 down.

Another VAR madness on display...

Mistaken identity. Siani wrongly red-carded at first... but red card decision reversed and Mabouka red carded for a high foot challenge to the thigh on a German player.

I hate VARs....

Even with the VAR, Ref still go red card the wrong person in the first place!!!! angry

And Now Germany makes it two thru Timo Werner. Fine finish.

The ref was clearly more interested in the decision without paying much attention to the player that committed the offense.

Haha haha they call the New German sub, a 20 years old player, baby of the squad. While for Nigeria it is the 20 years old that are carrying the team: Iheanacho, Simon, Awaziem, Etebo, Ndidi all 20. Iwobi 21.

Finally oooo... Chief Icon4s... see what I mean... Aboubakar may have flunked so many chances and not been impressive but just one more chance and he shows his quality again...

He is their best bet upfront. You don't throw away your best goals threat.

And Timo Werner again!!! 3-1
