4-4-2 formation. Iheanacho replaced Okazaki to partner Vardy in the front.

ok....thanks.

That pass though.. reminiscent of a similar assist when he combined with Awoniyi in UAE 2013. Very confident touch... DRILLS cheesy cheesy cheesy

That pass was too intelligent. We will see how the pair (Vardy and Nacho gel with time).

Leicester City landed a brilliant player at a great price in today's market.

On the bright side, Iheanacho might be playing in a two striker system if the Leicester match is anything to go by. Good luck to the guy.

very well said. And as the commentator rightly put it, "Iheanacho to Vardy. How many times we will be saying that this season?"

Another product of the NFF under 15 program that produced Awoniyi, Ezeh, Iheanacho and Bonaventure has joined Lillestorm.

Moses Ebiye (20) joins Ifeanyi Mathew in Lillestorm.

kano Is a good advert for the NPFL in terms of spectators and crowd. but the downside of it is the violence although I think with TV the violence will be avoided and limited

I tell ya, this nacho boy is going to be really special if he keeps working hard. The pass from Mahrez set him up for a one on one with the goalie but the pass to vardy was so very cerebral. Hate to say this but I can't think of many strikers that would lay that pass to vardy instead of going for goal. Certainly not Aguero , not even lukaku I don't think. If it was a SE striker they'd still be looking for the ball after the likes of IDEYE,Etebo or Musa send the ball to Australia.

A role beside Vardy will serve Kelechi better than the lone striker role.

TheGoodJoe:

“Pep should adjust his methods to the demanding EPL. This means he should reduce the intensity/fatigue of his training sessions between games."

Those were the words of a Dutch Fitness guru to Guardiola. His intense training methods. That was what I wanted Iheanacho under for a year or two. Not just making headlines and calling it harnessing talent.

Pogba you talked about is a good example to me. He has made lots of headlines and made name winning titles. However, the young man can not control a midfield. This is a development he would have gained spending extra time with Sir Alex.

Also, it is ridiculous if you think Pique only learnt from the players in camp at Manchester United but did not learn from Sir Alex. Haba. Do not write this kind of thing anywhere again. It is too much amateurish.

In football, players keep learning but some scenarios bring more in the player. Look at Aguero for instance. He clearly improved in workrate under Guardiola. This is due to the intense method.

You can not assure that Pellegrini harnessed Iheanacho's talent more because all you saw was Pellegrini giving Iheanacho playing time. Apart from that, Iheanacho was more menacing under Guardiola. The runs during counter attacks, the intelligent dummies, his vision of picking up teammates in better positions to score despite being in a good scoring positions (like when Iheanacho dribbled the goalkeeper and instead of going for goal, he passed to Nolito). We saw more in his few stints under Guardiola than Pellegrini. What we saw more in Pellegrini's games was goals.

And I said this yesterday before the game. Hehe. cheesy

I hope Iheanacho keeps to the sleeping routine and maintains a healthy diet while at Leicester City. This is also as important as working hard during training. Props young man.

Meaning we play 4-4-2. But Rohr typically plays 4-2-3-1. That lone striker system.

In 4-4-2 the team typically doesn't have a number 10.
This can be problematic if the Midfielders are not creative and imposing on the game enough. it will leave the two strikers stranded. This may cause the coach to instruct one of the two strikers to fall deep which means switching back to 4-5-1 thereby having a number 10.

But if we have very mobile, creative and imposing CM, we may not necessarily need a number 10 and so 4-4-2 may fly.

So the formation you adopt largely depends on the strength and potentials of your team.

The 94 Eagles never had a 'number 10'. The creativity Oliseh and Okocha brought were enough to keep our strikers busy. Like Oliseh's long balls always finding Yekini. Okocha, apart from his magic skills, had excellent vision and passing ability. So Yekini and Amokachi had plenty of the balls.

But do we have a DM and CM in the modes of Oliseh and Okocha presently in the team?

Ndidi also had a great game, got quite a number of accolades for his performance last night. He's turning out to be an excellent midfielder.

Hopefully, he and Kelechi will build an understanding playing together this season....I'm glad a good number of our players will be actively involved in games this season and we won't have to worry about match fitness
