Over the years, our cadet teams have produced the like of Osimehn, the Kelechis, Ndidi,Omeruo,Chuks,Awoniyi,Ejuke, Awaziem.....

Our problem is not lack of players, we need better coach...

Enough of rolling the red carpet for those FBs.

I'm not disputing the fact that we have been victim of poor coaching and management.
My stand is running after all these half-baked(I call them half-baked cos they couldn't even make the original team) FBs under the guise that we don't have quality player should stop. Our problem is coaching not players.
Running after FBs while we have the homegrown ones is kind of discouraging.
After all, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm not sure there was a single FB in the squad that won our last AFCON.
The bottom line is that these FBs won't give you the level of commitment and passion you want compared to the homegrown players.

Calm down ,not as if the whole players in the team are foreign based

France and other big nations have other nationalities

You don’t need to pour your anger on the foreign based biko

I don't know why Moses doesn't sound like a FB to me. I learnt he was born here and both his parents are Nigerian.

I agree with Mostob

Coaching is the palava

14managers in how many years!!

Okay if the players from local league start coming back to NT, who will make all of them click? Or it's going to be another packing of individual talents without cohesion, philosophy and team play?

One annoying thing is those shouting for local players have been doing so since 2004 yet they can't even add one inch to making that idea become reality. Meaning we are still going to be stuck with problems.

Before Npfl can recover enough to be a blueprint for the NT, the next president of Nigeria would have finished his tenure. Can we wait that long? Na to just tell everybody to forget football and maybe Start watching Israel Adesanya and Usman.

See Amokachi's myopic statements? Inferring that the SE is a dumping ground that would give them star status.
To see coach to even make that come true join, na Wahala.

The obsession with fire brigade approach has to stop. We only want to keep qualifying, but 1500% on luck since 2013. Soon the qualifiers would start evading us if we don't go back to the drawing board and adapt as other national teams are with the modern game.

According to Napoli, Osimhen asked to be excused from the Atalanta game due to "personal reasons".

Can't say it's unconnected to our world cup failure...

Zaidu Sanusi scored as Porto secured a 3-0 win over his former club, Santa clara to keep their 6 pts lead in the Portuguese league. Played all 90.

His 2nd goal of the league season.

One of the few Nigerians primed to win a league title this season.

There is no fact in what you said

You are acting as if it’s foreign based players that made your team not to qualify for the World Cup

Ekong aina Balogun bassey are all Nigerians and it’s not any of their fault that naija didn’t qualify for the World Cup

I am sure if most of you here are French you won’t want other nationalities in your team ,especially someone like zuchyblink

Ofcos it is connected. Lad needed time to clear his head. He really hurt after the Abuja disaster.

He missed the Afcon earlier this year and is going to miss the WC. It's been a tough time for Victor personally. A lad like that wanna and should be playing in tournaments like these.

But he will be back from the next game. He has to put all his focus into trying to win the Scudetto. That will be some consolation for him going forward.

I remember how tough it was for Mikel also missing the 2006 WC as a youngster and getting ruled out for the 2010 WC due to injury. He still recovered from the disappointments and won the Afcon in 2013 and went to 2 WCs in 2014 and 2018.

So Victor will be fine. Lions keep things moving. And he is a lionhearted individual.

Five yellows accumulated. And he was meant to miss the Atalanta game but Napoli appealed and it looked like they won the appeal which explains why it looked like he was available.

But ordinarily, after the last game where he picked up his 5th yellow of the season, he was bound to miss the Atalanta game.

Our problem has always been coaching. The passion won't coverup the incompetence of the coaching crew . You are just picking on innocent people. Even quality get grade. Even in their 'rejected status' they are still better than the home based players. What should be paramount should be the quality of the players. What is the essence of Simon's passion if he is only going to continue to play rubbish for us. The segregation seems kinda offensive. A Nigerian is the same no matter the origin.

Oliseh is the kind of coach that will give you results, unfortunately such coaches are not loved, because people find them too strict. No player is bigger than the team, you either play to instructions or court the bench. A big player player like Emmanuel Dennis, might not play under Oliseh, and people are gonna hate Oliseh for that.

NFF might not handle a tactically sound coach, be it a native or foreigner because they will find the personnel difficulty to control.

NFF will also find it difficult to hire a foreign coach that is tactically savvy as Oliseh.
which result did he give last time he was coach?

Missed afcon and world cup in the same year. That one sef reach personal reason. The way he was running throughout the match trying to make something out of it only to be denied is very demoralizing.

only for Ikpeba to climb television to tell us Osimhen is the reason why we no qualify. That 94 set should be done away with, Celestine and Amokachi dey blame foreign born, ikpeba blamed Osimhen I wonder if Rohr was still the coach if they’d have done same, they are finding it difficult to blame their friend
