This is not the type of game Sadiq does well in. He is really struggling.

While he is good on the ball for his size, he is really clumsy with a strange technique. His first touch is also really poor. This is usually not a problem against Segunda teams where Almeria were a big side themselves with a lot of the possession. When he lost the ball, they could easily win it back with minimal damage.

However, against Real Madrid, you must be illustrous to get anything out of the game. His style assures goal contributions, but also affords poor touches and losing the ball. It is simply a liability in this game.

Our goalkeeper is a calamity waiting to happen. The Koreans knew she can’t handle shots from distance.

Wow. The build-up play was exquisite. Nice triangles. Tells a lot of how good Steve Cooper is as a coach and I think Awoniyi will learn a lot from him. Will follow up their game just because of that well worked build up play.

With Sergio Gomez joining Manchester City from Anderlecht, it means that the best two players from the 2017 U17 World Cup (Foden and Gomez) will play together in Manchester City.

We need to find a way to support our U17 stars. Our lack of structure means we lose quality talents if they do not have good fortune in Europe.

And Foden's U17 Coach (Steve Cooper) is in the Premier League with Nottingham Forrest. We need to learn to value and build ours.

even countries with structures can’t account for all their youth players. It’s just life, some will make it while some will fall by the roadside. Infact we are doing very well with our youth players, look at our NT, almost half of them at one point or another passed through our youth system. That should be one of the best in Africa

The youth players are doing well based on their efforts and perseverance. Little to do with the Support from the National team. I did not say all mist make it but we should play a more active role in helping the special gems move upwards in their careers.

I’m lost, please throw more light. Is there something special the English FA did for Foden and his colleagues?

That is the point. The European have a brilliant structure that helps the growth of their players. That is why we can not fold arms and expect them to do it all for us.

Foden is playing for a club in his country. Do you expect him to play in Africa? I don't understand!

I will make it easier for you.

Football is vastly developed in Europe and easier for their young bright talents to excel. Football in Africa is far behind, and it means more bright talents will fall off, compared to the Europeans.

So, the National teams should play a more active role in helping our developing bright talents grow and be easily spotted by quality European teams. It is better than leaving it to chance and fortune.

This will help us more in the long run.
