that guy and komekn are like two sides of a coin. He prefers a footballer that have that trenches background in his history and you must be home based before he can acknowledge the footballer. Komekn on the other hand prefers players that are trained in the king's country. Even if you are from Spain that bobo will not rate you until you play in the premier league. The best he can say to any non UK footballer is to say that maybe they can make the bench of a league two team.

That's what I said about Etebo, Ndidi, Ighalo, Balogun, Ekong, Awoniyi, etc ,etc

Prejudice and emotive negative bias cause's brain cells to malfunction and destroys objective and rational thinking.

Let us not sugarcoat things and pander to soppy sentimentalism. Reality is uncompromising in its assessment. You say highly talented. What is a highly talented player still doing in the lower rungs of Spanish football for four seasons? Not one or two seasons ooo.

When people say he has a special skill set, I scratch my head. They do not realize that it is in the nature of anything special to be recognized and elevated especially in the sports industry. What special skill set does he have that scouts all over Europe have not been able to spot to get him out of second division football?

The emergence of Raphael onyedika nwadike and alhassan Yusuf just Dey sweet my belle any how

Atleast bonke and etebo should just rest they hv tried cheesy

After this season I predict that alhassan will move to french ligue 1 possibly Lille or Monaco

Both are good players and should be called ,but there is nothing like rest for etebo and bonke ,they should only be dropped because the recent ones are better and nothing else ,etebo is not playing recently so he should be dropped

If bonke is doing well at Lorient then he is still an option ,he played the same champions league last season or so

Yes highly talented from U17 and I still see him as one though things did not worked for him as expected.I have seen highly talented players that didn't make it as footballers but I still refer to them as highly talented ones, for instance Tarila Okoronwata.

Well said,Nwakili still in division two and on his special skill set,it was here am hearing special skill set.All players have special attributes,so Nwakili special skill set was just one of those hypes words.
I understand you. The fact however is that no matter how highly talented a player is or any person is for that matter, if the player does not play at a certain level, then it says so much about him.

Come to think of it, in our team I do not even see any player as exceptional. They are all hovering at average including Osimhen. Someone even recently said Haaland is not special and even though I disagreed with him, he made certain valid points. Then in the midst of all these, Nwakali is in the conversation and is touted as possessed of a quality our midfield needs. But just recently at the last Afcon, he was used only as a sub and started when we had already qualified.

I'm pointing out these things so we can objectively examine this matter.

iwobi has done well for super eagles,
He has more goals than most of d previous midfielders before him,
He has changed games for us several times,
What else do u expect of him?

I don't have much to say in defence of aribo but as for iwobi,he has been one of our best midfield performers since his debut .
His many goes can testify to it.
The problem with Iwobi was that as soon as his club began playing him as a winger, the national team too switched and began playing him in the same position. Iwobi is not a winger. Can he play there? Yes but he's best suited to play in the middle. Analyse all his games for the SE, you'd see he is most effective playing from the midfield and less so playing as a winger.

Iwobi broke into the limelight while playing as a winger for Arsenal. So it was only normal that he was used in that role in the SE..
Personally,I've never enjoyed seeing him play on the wings . he doesn't look like a winger at all .. The pre world cup friendly against England gave us a good idea of how well he can function as a midfielder.. Now as a CM, he looks better...

as it stands now with etebo moving to Greece he is off it since we hv younger and talented duo of alhassan and onyedika doing pretty well in a better league

As for bonke he is still in the mix but down the pecking order. Moreover the few matches he played for the super eagles he is yet to convince anyone that he deserves to be an integral part of the squad.

Judging by current form to me below is our best dm,cm and AM players

Iwobi
Alhassan
Aribo
Ndidi
Onyedika
Bonke
Onyeka

And if we re going for a tournament ie the World Cup or afcon which the team is expected to hv atleast 5 midfielders then those likely to mk the cut based on current form are

Ndidi
Iwobi
Aribo
Onyedika
Alhassan

Judging from what Pinnick said about throwing his weight behind a northern candidate emerging NFF president, it's safe to say one of them will emerge winner.. As per power rotation things ..

Top on the list are current 1st Vice President, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi; current 2nd Vice President, Mallam Shehu Dikko; current Chairman of Chairmen, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau; current Member of Board, Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande; immediate past General Secretary, Barr. Musa Amadu and; Head of Safety and Security of the Confederation of African Football, Dr. Christian Emeruwa.

“Also cleared for the exalted post, to be vacated by FIFA Council Member, Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick, are former NFF 1st Vice President, Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam; Chairman of the FCT Football Association, Mallam Adam Mouktar Mohammed; former Nigeria international goalkeeper, Peterside Idah; former Chairman of Kano Pillars FC and respected technocract, Alhaji Abba Abdullahi Yola and; UK-based David-Buhari Doherty.

iwobi hv been good playing through the middle for the super eagles be it as an AM or CM(recently under jpes)

Even his legendary uncle jay jay once stated in an interview that Alex is not a winger but a midfielder and his claim is now obvious to everyone since lampard deployed him to the cm position where he is been massive for Everton

Iwobi like I hv said in the past is a typical Arsenal groomed player. The London side is known for the sleek 1 touch and space football which was imbibed into the club’s system during wenger’s days as the manager

Alex has quick feet but not that out and out winger whom you expect to take players on, cut in and strike. He is more of a hybrid/utility player who can function anywhere upfront even as a false nine but his strongest attribute his his link up play and passing ability which makes him more suited for the AM/CM role

I saw the comment of gunners great Wright Phillips who opined that arsenal should bring back Alex to the club because of the lads performances recently at the heart of everton’s midfield. That he will make a good midfield trio with odergaard and partey and that what marvels him most which he never knew the lad had was his work rate and agility

I won’t be surprised if arsenal try to bring him back next summer

I bet you that if Onyeka drops to the Spanish 2nd tier he will be unplayable

Not trying to talk down on nwakali’s resurgence this season but he needs to make the leap to a top league, continue with his form to be counted

Any decent player can strive and make a name for himself in the Spanish 2nd tier

Can anyone please point me in the direction of Frank Onyeka's form this season? Like what exactly is his form like??

What rubbish am I even reading here? Based on current form, someone would pick Onyeka in our Super Eagles midfield?? Like right now?? Even in his form, dude is literally very limited. Literally can't control a ball. Very poor on the ball.

Oh I forgot... we still have ignorants and self-denying lots walking around the thread.

Younger doesn't mean better and talented is speculative projection not proven and established.

Onyedika has played how many games in the Belgium league? and has he been outstanding??

I have the same questions for Alhassan.

Iwobi, Ndidi road Aribo are tried tested and proven no discussion.
