Mujtahida:Exactly. Hopefully none of our core guys suffer any major injury. Just one point left! |

BascoVanVeli: We can not use playing two matches as an excuse, especially when we played the same team. If Rohr needed to refreshing the team with fresher legs, then he should have gone for it. Glad we did not lose but parking bus is a no no. We are paying Rohr a fortune. Be should work harder and get the team clicking. |

safarigirl: if this was a barcelona vs chelsea tie, where chelsea packed the bus to keep the rampaging barca at bay, folks even in Nigeria will be saying how impressed they are with chelsea but alas it's nigeria where we must always win by 10 nil before we can commend the team. We Nigerians are ones full with negativity. A five time afcon champion[current one for that matter] facing a 3 time afcon champion. Even in the western world, this clash was followed with great attention and yet we let ourselves down with unnecessary bashing for the team just because of a goal conceded. I bet you if it ended 1-nil for Nigeria, nobody will bash any player.Nigerians are hypocrites I tell you. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Speaking of a Mikel replacement, I'm surprised no one is talking about Iwobi. Iwobi will be a super 10 in the future. As long as we have a great destroyer(Ndidi, Onazi) and an energetic CM that can build play, we should be good. Mikel will no doubt be hard to replace sha. Good thing we'll have him around for say another 4-5 years. 1 Like |

You guys strolling EZEWAN, he is not perfect yet, so the mistake is understandable, cos he will learn from it to be a better keeper |

My hapiness is our key figures, save Balogun, are now safe. zambia style of play is wing and aerial. they dont do well central or in counter. so knowing this, im safe to assume a good match, barring injuries. Glad talks about Mikel's replacement have resurfaced. enough of the Agu subbing. Mikel is diff from Mikel ah. Ramon Azeez & Aluko are needed. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by AIG07: 10:07pm On Sep 04, 2017 |
daveP:another beautiful one over there. Cameroon ain't that strong in the middle. I think I pointed this out during the confed cup. But I was so amazed they won the central midfield battle. Switching to a 5-4-1 or 4-5-1 formation would have balance things up. But after the goal he chose 4-3-3 with tiring wide men(the two moses). It came to a time I didn't even see S.Moses on the pitch-I even taught he had been sub. Eh wait was Aina on the bench? Cos me no see am. |

Looollll.... I ain't aiming for park bus level.... I rather speak of "Patience with the team" level.... you saw our gameplay on Friday... did you love it or not? You saw the full potentials of how really good our team can play and dominate... didn't you? but it takes more games and cohesion and training for the team to gel to a more wicked level of dominance... that is my point... so patience My Good Sir... patience. And we didn't pack any bus. We played a draw when some were expecting another smash. That's just what is affecting proper analysis here. To be honest, I craved even right up till the end for us to win if not for anything but for that sweet, orgiastic feeling of victory but I can't cry my eyes out with what we got. We are on course. Shikena For proper perspective let's go ask Cameroun what 4:0 as Afcon champions feels like. |

Just as I expected, the Zambians have started bragging again. I still don't see them beating Algeria tomorrow. The best they can get us a draw.. Even still, they would be coming to Uyo with the aim of spoiling our party. Our greatest undoing against south Africa was that we underrated them..We thought they would br intimidated by the big names in our team. It wasn't just the absence of Mikel,Moses and Balogun.... I hope we don't repeat that mistake against Zambia. they are a better team than SA... but sha that's a discussion for another day. . @Thesupernerd, do you think Ebuehi can break into the team soon? I don't think he is happy seating on the bench all the time... He should be given his chance soon (not in very crucial games though ) |

But Shakespeare is not on same champagne level with Pep naa... We all know Shakespeare's level.... I speak of Lord Pep... UCL winner on two occasions and the guy who tears the chequebooks anyhow while leaving out beautiful bright young talent.... Pep who won bundesliga three times in a row... Who is Shakespeare to Pep? Abeg... leave Shakes... Na Pep we dey talk... let him conquer England and his legacy will be sealed forever. TheGoodJoe: 1 Like |

ykalhaji: Your views are extreme, are you sure you truly have better players than Cameroon to win them home and away? Cameroon also have quality players that match your own quality players any day any time. You guys ought to be realistic nah. We were all trembling before the 1st leg o, now we are mediocres after grabbing four points, Jesus Christ, what has come over us? |

daveP:Another option is Sone Aluko. But for Azeez, we don't need him. We've seen him play. We don't need him going forward. This three will make our Midfield strong and thick going forward. -Azubuike -Joel Obi -Sone Aluko. |

TheSuperNerd: Contrary to people's belief, we did not tear cheque book this season. We replaced players. Players like Sagna, Zabaleta, Kolarov, Clichy. Bought three full backs. Danillo, Mendy and Walker. Replaced Caballero with Ederson. Replaced Nasri with Bernardo Silva. I Wonder how that is tearing cheque book. The market is just inflated. They are normal buys. Nothing extraordinary. |
